I to am an SC fan but saw Gman's logic on the value of the bet and agree 100% with him. But with that being said +100 is horrible but you can +275 at Bet Royal right now. That is worth a small shot. +100 is no value.

THANKYOU!!!!!!!! That is what is great about this site. I went to all my sportsbooks I have money in and none except olypic had the futures wager. I had $750 in neteller so I quickly deposited it into betroy.

$750 to win $1,950 on USC to win Rose Bowl (BCS NC)

Just checked and the line is now USC +150. I was gonna put another 4k on the bet. Not gonna bet +150 but will bet on any that have it +200 or better.

If anybody else finds a USC futures wager, please post it. Much appreciated. Thanks again ballsweat!

FIGHT ON!!!!!!!!!!!!!

You are correct

You are correct

I just saw that the line moved. I think they read this board because it literally was +250 when I posted this morning.

Sorry about that

+250 isn't really that good of value either. Personally you were better off hammering select spots on or against USC like you have the last couple of seasons.

lol its down to +100 at the greek now. anyone that takes a future at +100 needs their head examined. i know they're heavy favorites but that line is ridiculous. they must have a ton of usc futures and need to keep people away from taking usc.

I think it is. I feel so strongly about USC that if by chance Leinart suffers an injury, I am confident USC still has a decent chance to play in the Rose Bowl with Booty as #2 QB and all that talent surrounding him. Remember, the whole OL is back so the USC QB will have all day to throw and at least 3-4 superstars going on routes in passing game. If Booty started last year for USC, USC would have had at least 3 losses.

Remember, if USC makes it to Rose Bowl, you can easily hedge just like I did for the OB. I hedged 1/3 of my bet for profit either way.

USC will be at least 7pt favorites in Rose Bowl if everything plays out normal.

Sun Tzu
So to which school is Booty going to transfer?

He is staying at USC. He redshirted last year in case Leinart did in fact return. Botty has 3 years left at USC, so after Leinart graduates, he will have the "chance" to be the starting QB for 2 years for USC. That is, if he beats out 4-star QB Hinds or 5-star QB Sanchez.

My prediction is Booty starts for 2 years, Hinds switches positions or plays 1 year, and Sanchez starts 3 years. Everyone is happy! No transfers. Sanchez the #1 QB in the country according to many, said he doesn't mind sitting at USC vs starting right away at other schools because he said USC is the best school to help him go to the NFL. Palmer #1 draft pick, Leinart #1 draft pick, Booty prob. 1st rounder at least, then Sanchez! What a perfect world for USC! Its just not fair.

Scott, I have to agree with you for once. USC +250 has tremendous value, but you probably will not like my reasoning.

Look at their conference! With Leinart returning and the entire OL, who is going to beat them? It looks like another year of USC dominance out west. There is no other school in any other conference that will have an easier schedule to go undefeated. Haven't seen SC's out- of-conference slate, but they should coast through the Pac-10 with ease. And like you said, once they get to the Rose Bowl, you can hedge.

Date Opponent
Sept. 3 at Hawaii
Sept. 10 TBA
Sept. 17 Arkansas
Sept. 24 at Oregon
Oct. 1 at Arizona State
Oct. 8 Arizona
Oct. 15 at Notre Dame
Oct. 22 at Washington
Oct. 29 Washington State
Nov. 5 Stanford
Nov. 12 at California
Dec. 3 UCLA

Nobody knows who the TBA will be. USC gets to play an extra game because they travel to Hawaii. NCAA rules. I have heard NOBODY wants a 1 game series with USC. Rumors have it USC might play SDSU or Fresno St.

I agree the Pac 10 could be down next year. A lot of talented players leaving but I dont think anybody can say for sure the Pac 10 will be down. Just a lot of "if's" for many teams, especially at QB. If QB works out, tehy will be good, if not, then not so good. Stoops at Arizona is recruiting like a mad man.

the main reason i asked was i had a feeling they might be playing in oregon.

i dont care what you say, thats a dangerous, dangerous game.

and agree with sun tzu that notre dame will be no cakewalk either.

other than that, an easy schedule.

but oregon is not gonna be easy for them

Scott, again, I agree with you. That is exactly why I think you can pencil in SC for the Rose Bowl next year.

I am not close enough to the area to comment on Stoops recruiting, but that doesn't surprise me at all. I think Mike Stoops will be a phenominal head coach for many years to come. He will still need a few more years recruiting to give USC any trouble though. A lot of UA fans thought he would've been a good fit for their head coaching position, but the AD wouldn't consider him because he didn't have head coaching experience. So they hired Mike Price...good call.

Stoops had Arizona playing good football at the end of the year. Battled USC tough for a half, beat rival ASU, but many people thought they stunk which was untrue. Stoops is also doing excellent job in recruiting. Arizona be a great team to bet on next year. Public thinks they are crap pac 10 team. They played a TOUGH TOUGH TOUGH schedule last year and almost beat Wiscy and played Utah tough.

I cashed in on that Wisconsin game. It was one of my bigger plays.

He needs to recruit some offense, as I'm sure he will have a solid D.

Scott, I have to ask you......why in the world would you place a future bet at those odds???? Assuming in this day and age that you will have to go undefeated to make the big game, you could make more money taking your 750, and putting it on the moneyline every game, and rolling up the bankroll until that final game.......I would have to think that would be more profitable.......

Because I like making money. J/K, Here is why. #1 I am big USC fan so its a fun wager I root for all year. #2 I think USC has the best coaching staff and the most talent in the country. Lethal combination. #3 This is the first time Carroll/Chow will have an experienced team vs having young teams. Everybody is back on offense + USC add 3 guys who would have started this year but did not play this year.

Can I lose this wager? HELL YES, just takes 1 or 2 losses. But I think USC's offense goes up a notch next year (if that is possible after the OB) and the USC defense goes down a notch. Arkansas may be a threat since its 2nd game of year and Arky returns EVERYBODY except QB. All in all, its gambling and I can afford to lose $750 if my Trojans don't make it. But I think they will.

To follow up on your advice. Good advice but flawed. USC will "not" have a ML on most games. USC will be favored by 30 + pts in most games.

I think there will be serious money to be made betting against USC next season. If I see good spots I will post write-ups supporting a bet against USC but I will never personally wager against USC even if it means winning $$$.

Right now I think betting Arkansas over USC might be an excellent bet. Especially after USC beats Hawaii by 40+ pts. USC is gonna be soooo overhyped next year and USC has been a cash cow the last 3 years so it all adds up to $$$$ won betting against USC this season.

Then again, if USC is favored less than 30 against Hawaii, I will dump my bankroll on it. USC only weakness next year "might" be stopping the run, Hawaii never runs. USC will hang 50+ and Carroll I think was upset at Jones 2 years ago after the game for running his 1st string O against USC 3rd string D and trying pass attempt with 1 sec. left. Something like that happened.

PS

3 years ago I had $100 to win $5000 on USC to win BCS NC, lost, USC ranked #3, best team in the country at end of year but had 2 early losses in the season with the #1 SOS.

2 years ago I ahd $100 to win $2,500 on USC to win BCS SUGAR BOWL, USC won AP NC ROSE BOWL but it was not BCS SUGAR BOWL and my wager said SUGAR BOWL. LOST!

Last year my big big winner!

Hopefully this year my semi big winner!

VERY widely reported that Booty is calling various Texas schools about transferring

Interesting that no USC insiders have reported this. He should only transfer if he thinks he is not good enough to win the job in 2 years when Leinart graduates. Otherwise its a HUGE HUGE mistake. I have heard NOTHING about these rumors of Booty but maybe Booty is keeping this hush hush from the USC people.

If I am Booty and had to transfer, I would go to Florida St.
