Where it is real F ing COLD
If you like Metallica when they really head banged years ago then I suggest you purchase "Death Magnetic." I don't want to give too much away but they really got back to their roots.. Now if you are the Metallica fan that likes the pussy Metallica music that they have been giving us for the last 10 years then I suggest that you don't buy it.

I was a bit skeptical when I heard the CD was good but since I am a die hard fan I purchased it and can't stop listening.

I fully agree. The more I listened the more I like it. IMHO I thought Load was a real good album. My all time favorite is Kill em All.

I listened to a few of the songs, and I thought they were an improvement, but nothing like old Metallica.

My favorite Metallica is Ride the Lightning followed closely by Master of Puppets. :Yep: :Yep: :Yep:

The greatest thing about Metallica concerts in the late 90s (and the 2 metalheads above me can probably relate) is when the younger fans get pissed because they don't know any of the old music that they always seem to play in great majority. All the older metalheads are going nuts with Seek and Destroy, Master, Sanitarium, and fade to black while the lame teenagers are just standing around not knowing the words. :142smilie Long live old Metallica!

A lot of the riffs on the new album would be better if there was no vocals. It kinda gives you the feel of the old days when there were the long intros before the actual song. I really liked ORION and To Live Is to Die from Justice. Harvester of Sorrow and Creeping Death are my favorite at live shows. Rock on

I'm really bummed they aren't playing in Nashville on the current tour. Not even Louisville or Lexington. :( really sucks; it's been a long time since I've rocked in person with them.

I may have to check it out. Loved everything they put out through And Justice, then was incredibly disappointed with the black album. I think that's when they jumped the shark.
