miami is one of my alma maters, so i'm a little biased, but a team that has won 37 straight games is getting a td and you want to be on the laying end of that line? let's pause for a little perspective here. throughout that 37 game run and beyond, the hurricanes have repeatedly played down to their opponents. they are notorious noncoverers when playiing lessers teams. however, when the money game comes along they always manage to play up to their capabilities. no team can get up for their best performance every week, but the hurricanes have shown the ability to turn it on when it counts.
as for fsu, before the beginning of the season, everyone was talking like bowden and fsu were looking down this year. the acc sportswriters didn't even pick the 'noles to win the conference. rix was seen as a liability. now, it's widely ackowledged that the acc was highly overrated this season, but somehow when fsu waltzes throught their early games and miami ekes by, the canes are a seven point dog. i don't believe it for a minute, it's just the flavor of the day, the fad of the minute. fsu may very well win this game, but i'll bet miami with a td against any college team in the country.
