was 2-4 the last 2 weeks

was 2-4 the last 2 weeks

however it will be 6 im guessing, gore out, canes look like crap on TV, revenege, at Noleville, fsu off a bye, etc ... the public will bet this up ... if it goes to 8 i might take canes

too voltaile a game for me, Canes look great vs BC everyone thinks they are best team in world or so, they play a decent WV in sandwich, now they are terrrible, so goes the mind of joePub ... FSU can be iffy themself ...

payton as your #1 back is def. huge dropoff from years past

yeah... I was pretty upset about that west virginia game. I was hoping the canes would cover, so the spread would be about 2.5. Not the case though.

Rix is gonna have to come through big if its over 6.5... however, the Noles D is looking like the Derrick Brooks days.

HOMER HERE...

HOMER HERE...

I AGREE MIAMI DID NOT LOOK IMPRESSIVE AGAINST WV.

I BEG ALL OF YOU FSU BACKERS TO PUSH THIS LINE HIGHER.

I WILL BE ON ALL OVER IT AND A MONEYLINE PLAY ON MIAMI.

PAYTON IS A STUD...LETS GET ONE THING STRAIGHT HERE.

FOR A COLLEGE TEAM TO PRODUCE IN THREE STRAIGHT YEARS :

1.EDGE

2.PORTIS

3.MAGHEE (THE BEST OF THE 3)

PAYTON IS NONE OF THESE BUT HE IS DAMN GOOD !

SO NOW OLY HAS MIAMI +5.5 I ALMOST BOUGHT IT UP TO 7 BUT ONCE I READ ALL THESE CAPPERS ON FSU I WILL WAIT AND MAKE MY MOVE.

GL!

take a closer look at the b.c. game

take a closer look at the b.c. game

the canes offense isn`t that good..against b.c. they got a blocked punt that set up a td....an int reurn and a punt return..b.c. was through before they could get into the game..... .imo, they haven`t looked all that good this year....a crappy florida team should have beaten them...now gore is gone and they don`t have a real good backup(payton`s son is not like the old man).....is berlin gonna carry them?....he`s not all that impressive,imo....

both defenses have been exceptional....fla st has better balance(and crap-honso thorpe...the best name in the ncaa.:D)....

you guys goin` against the crapper?.....

i know the history...i think maybe fla st might just be better this year....

the under may be the best wager if it`s in the middle to high 40`s.....

I AM NOT TRYING TO BE RUDE HERE. MIAMI MAY VERY WELL WIN THE GAME. THEY ARE A VERY TALENTED TEAM. HOWEVER, PAYTON IS A STUD ? PAYTON HAS BEEN A BACKUP EVERY YEAR HE HAS PLAYED. WHICH IS UNDERSTANDABLE CONSIDERING HOW GOOD THE OTHER THREE ARE. PAYTON IS NOT SPECIAL AND WILL NOT BE DRAFTED UNTIL MAYBE THE THIRD ROUND. THIS MIAMI TEAM WOULD BE IN A BAD STATE OF AFFAIRS WO WINSLOW. WINSLOW IS THE THIRD BEST TE IN FOOTBALL (PROS INCLUDED). JMO.

What has Miami done in the dog role in past? Recall hearing they were very profitable.

Have to think this will be a close game. Decided by a FG as usual. Obviously more important to the players on each side then BC, WV, and GT as they are invested emotionally as they are playing a backyard war with other FLA homegrown players. Hard to see a blow out either way.

Not impressed with Bobby Bowden coaching in recent years.

Line opened at 4.5 , shot as high as 7.5, settled back to 7 this morning. Sounds like heavy hitters were situating themselves for a middle.

I don't see how Miami wins this game. FSU better on both sides of the ball andless TO prone at QB. Plus revenge...

Don't know if I want to give 7 points. I'll probably tease the Noles with someone.

Hellah,

Courious why you would take FSU at + 500 to win the National Champ when you can have the whole ACC at +650 , seems like your missing out on +150 on the deal........But then again I'm only on my 1st cup of Joe too.......

miami is one of my alma maters, so i'm a little biased, but a team that has won 37 straight games is getting a td and you want to be on the laying end of that line? let's pause for a little perspective here. throughout that 37 game run and beyond, the hurricanes have repeatedly played down to their opponents. they are notorious noncoverers when playiing lessers teams. however, when the money game comes along they always manage to play up to their capabilities. no team can get up for their best performance every week, but the hurricanes have shown the ability to turn it on when it counts.

as for fsu, before the beginning of the season, everyone was talking like bowden and fsu were looking down this year. the acc sportswriters didn't even pick the 'noles to win the conference. rix was seen as a liability. now, it's widely ackowledged that the acc was highly overrated this season, but somehow when fsu waltzes throught their early games and miami ekes by, the canes are a seven point dog. i don't believe it for a minute, it's just the flavor of the day, the fad of the minute. fsu may very well win this game, but i'll bet miami with a td against any college team in the country.
