I think he should be reinstated. I feel he is serving his debt to society. Once completed, why should he be kept from attempting to continue his career?

This is not to say that a team would take the gamble... but I would give him a shot of trying out if I was an owner.

The backlash will be big but short-term.

Yeah I agree too. I hate what he did but people act like he was involved with murdering people. (Ray Lewis) Once he serves his debt he should be allowed to play. Who picks him up will have their hands full of protest and media circus.

The way American Laws are set up you are never finished paying debt to society....his records will always be able to be accessed and if he has ANY felony charges....well thats a whole nother story. I PERSONALLY believe 1 days mistake or 1 mistake no matterhow long the time shouldnt prohibit ANY man from aspiring and ding better in the life that remains....living with the guilt sometimes is pain enough IMO along with the money paid and time served

Myself YES, I feel THE SAME! IF that said person raped or murdered anyone and served the penalty issued and paid the fines levied..why should he be looked at as a convict or felon? He did do wrong and he did serve "his time". Do u think someone labeled a felon has a fair chance at landing a job over one who is not? Thats one of the ways I say it hampers you or them for life. It's like also getting the bright red liscense plate covers for the drivers that have been convicted of DUI so the cops and other drivers can know they are a risk on the road and likely to have a brew in/with them.

You know damn well that Ray knows exactly what happened that night. He kept his hood rat buddies from serving a double homicide sentence.

i don't know damn well anything....

been thru this enough here and not going through it again but you don't know WTF you're talking about.

he testified against them and they still were found not guilty.

I find it incredible you'd be able to feel so benevolent towards someone hat raped and killed your mother.
You must be an extraordinary human being.

Lu Lu got acquitted and he still is being looked at in a different light, now someone PLEASE argue the fact that these "tags" or "labels" don't slow or stop one from moving forward, kind of proven in this thread in less then 20 post. On Ray if he did know or not...regardless the guy has been a standup guy since then stayed out of trouble and become a face for the NFL again, so if he got tagged from the melee do you think he would be looked at the same? Sorry Jack to use Ray but it's kind of the perfect example.

Well my mother passed (RIP Ma) a little less then a year ago, I know you had no idea, but further examples its appreciated if generic samples where to be used....but to the question.....if a woman of my family was to have this happen....me having hatred and keeping that person down does nothing to me.....but perhaps make that person become desperate to fix the situation and possibly commit another crime or do someting else foolish.....I am a believer of rehabilitation more so then punishment.

Michael Vick should not be allowed back in the NFL. The guy is 1 step away from being a rapist. Served his time and paid his debt. No he didnt, those dead dogs arent alive anymore.

Ray Lewis didnt kill anyone or thing.

Explain that one! How are you 1 step away from BEING a rapist, you either are a rapist or you havent raped anyone. The dogs are dead and THATS why he is in jail, so TIME SERVED is done.....or do you want and eye for an eye? Lets hang Vick or stone him to death because HE PERSONALLY KILLED AND BURIED THOSE DOGS RIGHT? I think he got the bad end of the stick, he had finances to fund dog fighting and other illegal actions...but does anyone know for sure HE KILLED any of those dogs? The show I know of he simply watched and wagered and never went in the ring or handled the dog

I think there is a big difference in killing dogs than being one step from being a rapist. Just my opinion. No Ray never killed anybody and yes he may have testified but I still am not satisfied. At the subject at hand.. Vick should be reinstated.. I just don't want my team to get him because I don't think he is a good QB.. Oh yeah thats right he would fit right in with the VIKES.. Oh boy Favre is getting surgery this week form Dr. Andrews

I'm sorry about your Mom and no, I didn't know.
But , if the mere MENTION of this heinous
act involving your mother is upsetting to you, how could you possibly forgive the man who actually PERPETRATED such an act?
It's easy to forgive the rapist and murderer of SOMEONE ELSE'S mother.

What message is the NFL sending if it allows Vick back in? Its telling kids its ok to be a part of killing dogs because if you do your celebrity version of jail time we'll forgive you.

Anybody that forgives Vick and thinks he should be in the NFL , boy o boy.

Kinda wierd I guess, but I am not mad at GOD for allowing my mother to develope cancer, nor were I mad at her for not quitting the cigarettes when myself and sibblings asked her to quit when we were younger because the school promoted National Smoke Out day or whatever it was...I dont believe in harboring BAD emotions or grudges, since I stopped holding grudges and having hatred I honestly can say I am at peace alit more with MYSELF and others then when I used to poke out my lip and fuss. No its not easy nor condoned to rape someones elses mother or family member for that matter, I was just making the statement above because I am from the old school and I was taught not to speak upon ones mother, thats all....if it were my enemy or best friends mother I would feel no different. I dont believe in life long punishment no matter the crime....would punishing or labeling a teenager that got into a fight at the carnival and punched another kid causing him to hit his head on the concrete and disable him for life be beneficial or does it give that kid one more thing to fight through in the world? I may be getting off subject....sorry.
