and there is the truth, the sec has pigs (surprisingly more so than most conf) on the bottom end that are TERRIBLE. those pigs feed the top 4 teams (usually the same teams every year) 4 wins every year, those top 4 then play 3-4 ooc nobodys and then split vs each other going 10-2 and we hear how "great they are" and how "awesome the sec is"......i swear it's written down in the sec guidelines that this is the system they all must play by.

however sec honks will tell you that uga, bama, miss are "traditional powers" thus they are good teams, so my point is irrelevant

I would also like to point out that UGA has averaged around 10 wins over the past 4-5 years. That makes them pretty good I'd say.

I agree that Alabama sucks.

Auburn 40
WSU 14

Tenn 35
Cal 18

You want respect? Have some team besides USC beat somebody good from another conference just once, and you just might get it, but probably not.

That leaves 8 good teams in the SEC!!

Been my point all along!!

thats almost as many good teams in SEC as there are total teams in other conferences!! RING A BELL??????

STOMP IT SHOOT IT DO SOMETHING ABOUT IT!!!

hey math major and reading comprehension enthusiast, please list your 8 good teams because i come up with:

2 very good teams (lsu-fla)
1 above average team (ark)
2 just a notch below (aub-tenn)
1 slightly above average teams (uga)
3 slightly below average teams (bama-s car-kent)
3 pigs (miss st-miss-vandy)

please also list the entire SEC ooc wins vs the current bcs top 15..remember that's 12 traditional powerhouse teams with 8 great teams who take on all comers south of the mason dixon line east of texas, west of the atlantic and north of the gulf of mexico.......as long as they arent in division one:

never mind i will, here are the top 15 bcs schools your conf beat:

UNIVERSITY OF NOBODY

Do the math for the Pansy ten:
1) 9 teams that suck one decent team.
Therefore lots of shit games in conference! You can afford to go abroad and play 1-2 strong out of conference games when your conference SUX!!!
2) Only decent team USC plays Neb(SUX) & Notre LAME(SUX) & Ark(different team now)
3) Rest of Pansy 10 gets waxed by other teams from decent conferences! In conference games weak as piss! except for USC of course!!
Only decent out of conference games pansy ten played was against SEC 3 waxings and one the other way!! They will stop that soon enough cant take to many azz whippings!!

ANY WAY YOU DO THE MATH SEC LOTS STRONGER THAN PANSY TEN!! NO BENDING OR STRETCHING THAT OUT OF WACK!! ITS A FACT!!!

Using your scale:

1 just a notch below (USC,10-2 just like Auburn)
1 slightly above average (cal)
1 slightly below average (osu)
7 below average-pig (ore, wsu, wash, ariz, asu, stanford, ucla)

It just keeps getting worse every year.

it;s funny that i get those responses....im waiting for the starbucks/tailgaiting quote from my good friend ryan mcguire

we are talking about the sec, not the pac-10

you people trump up the sec as "THE BEST HANDS DOWN, YOUR SPORTS ILLETIRATE IF YOU DONT BELIEVE US BECAUSE WE HAVE TO PLAY EACH OTHER AND WE ARE GOOD BECAUSE WE SAY SO....AND WE ARE RANKED" no shit, you're always going to be ranked because you never play anybody other than yourselves....uga was brutal this year and played nobody did they ever drop out of the polls???

i dont defend the pac-10 as the best ever but it's right up there with all the other bcs conf on a yearly basis as having the same playing field:

1-2 great teams
1-2 above average teams
1-2 average teams
1-2 below average teams
1-2 pigs

your conf is no different.....plus i never did get that list of 8 great teams in the sec???

using my scale i see the sec as a .500 conf in bowl games the past 5 years

clearly the best, hands down, you're sports illetirate if you cant see that.

Maybe over the past 5 years they have been mediocre in bowl games. I'll concede that.

But the SEC has more victories, more bowl victories, more national championships, more everything than any other conference. Seriously, would you like to try and state a case for any other conference having better overall stats than the SEC?

Any other conference got 9 bowl teams this year?

Any other conference average 80,000 per game?

More wins overall? More bowl wins overall?

More national championships?

Are those crickets chirping?

Stop me when you have an answer.

Trivia question:
Q) Both the SEC and the Big 10 have 3 teams in the top 10 currently. What's the difference?

A) LSU, Auburn, and Florida all had to play each other. LSU, Auburn, and Florida all beat one school from another BCS conference (2 from the pac-10 by a combined score of 85-17, how competitive is that conference?)

Got to get to work now.

AU, I noticed you failed to mention that the SEC is the all time leading conference in NCAA violations.

:mj07:

of course the sec leads in bowl games and bowl wins, who cares?.....they created bowl games for teams in the south so they dont ever have to travel and get invited every year.

plus.....who cares what a team/conf did 25-30-40-50 years ago??? my argument is that all these bcs conf are about the same every year, you agree that the sec record is average over the past 5 years...but then tell me that 50 years ago the sec was great so, HA, that proves the sec is the best conf?????

well then, i'm a cubs fan, and damnit we are one of the powerhouses in baseball because we won the world series back in 06 and 08 and not many organizations around today have won multiple world series!!!!!!!!!!

Yes, we are proud of the fact that we have the best recruits that money can buy.

You think Cadillac came to Auburn because of our outstanding Sociology department?

The SEC has more BCS bowl wins than any other conference.

That is 1999-present

But hey, go cubs! Reverse the curse of the goat!

This has got be the best post ever.

An Iowa guy calling any other team on the planet over-rated!!!

I'm sorry I didn't tell you that this thread is for teams with over 6 wins.

Obviously, that excludes Iowa who lost to such powerhouses as Indiana (not in b'ball), and Northwestern (4-8)

Go Hawkeyes! The big-10's big name doormat.

Has Kirk Ferentz won a straight up conference title yet? No.
