Pretty quick judgement for two weeks of play and 49 at bats. Derek Jeter has had quarter-season long slumps in the last handful of years but he's still headed to Cooperstown.

I remember at the end of last season many wanted Trout to win the MVP..............more to come. He's off to a below average start so far this season.

1/16th of the way into the season, yeah he is a bust.

Look at all the all stars hitting under 200 at this point, they all must be busts I guess.

Just an early look............and how is Cabrera doing. He's only the best pure hitter in all of baseball.

Cabrera could be the best pure hitter in baseball. Nobody is disputing that.

Trout is the best overall player in baseball today.

and what was my original question again?

something about a one year wonder.

What the asinine question calling someone a potential bust after he 1/16th of a season?

Yeah thats a thought provoking question. Kid put up one of the greatest seasons ever as a rookie and after ten games you want to call him a bust. :142smilie

Love Trout and see him as an amazing talent. BUT, I wouldn't be surprised with a huge regression this year....the proverbial sophomore slump! He certainly wouldn't be the first star to go through this.

And yes, I realize that he did play 40 games the year before last....still....

Peace! :)

I would imagine there would be some regression of course.

I never said he would repeat his numbers, I just question how you could consider him a bust after ten games?
