The older I get the more I can't take the cold. Last night I layed in bed waiting for my feet to warm up(sweat pants, shirt, fuzzy socks) so I could fall asleep. The colder my feet are the more they hurt then my legs start to ache and I can't sleep. After 45 mins I ended up going down to the basement and standing in front of the pellet stove for 5 minutes until they were warm enough that I could get comfy. I ended up sleeping on the futon in front of the stove.

We keep our house and shop plenty warm. Yesterday at work I wore 2 pairs of socks, thermal tights under my jeans, a long sleeve shirt under my work tshirt and a hoodie. Then had my Artic Cat double layer snowmobile jacket on and my little space heater on in my office and my feet were still numb.

Right now I'm sitting in the bowling alley with jeans, a thermal long sleeve shirt on under my bowling tshirt and a North Face hoodie and I'm shivering and my feet are practically numb. Can't wait for them to turn the lanes on so practice can start.

I just need to make more trips down to the stove. Lol. Lately I've been painting the kitchen and when I sit on the floor and paint, my legs fall asleep. Then that's usually when I have trouble getting my feet warm again.

At work my office is about 8x10 and I have that little ceramic heater in there and I keep it cranked on high all day pointed right at my feet. It's about 90* in there when you open the door. But my feet are still cold.

Still have lots of pain in my back. Wife has to put my socks and shoes on me sometimes before I go to work, but thankfully, the last week has been better. After I get to work, I have the joy of caring for people who are younger and in better shape than me but choose to be disabled and fed Dilaudid. Great system I tell ya!

Morris, I hope they get u in sooner. Side note observation... I often tell people/patients/coworkers etc whenever it comes up that I feel the best medical procedures as far as quality of life developed in the 20th century are those that correct cataracts. When I was a kid, I remember so many elderly people being blind. Poor vision all the way to complete blindness was associated with aging and expected. Not anymore. I have had multiple patients in their 80s and up who have perfect vision after surgery.

I feel "cold" is my specialty. warm your feet up with a bath or a warm foot soak, dry them thoroughly. invest in SmartWool socks, they are $15-$20 per pair but they should keep your feet warm. I use them for ice fishing and if your feet were to sweat they will suck in the moisture.

Usually before bowling I have to go in the bathroom and run my right hand under really hot water to get my fingers from being half numb so I can grip my ball. Sometimes my fingernails are somewhat blue. Right now they are nice and warm and pink but when they are cold I have trouble with them hurting too. We just got 2 more inches of snow last night and supposedly there is more on the way next week. I wish I could move south for the winter lol Maybe after I hit the lottery.

I would recommend you have your thyroid checked and also get tested for diabetes. These two area could be causing your issues?

My daughter took a bath yesterday and water started dripping from the ceiling below. She had complained it was not draining well earlier in the day so before I called plumber figured I see if there was just a bigass hairplug in there causing a backup. Had good luck with the cheapy plastic zip things in the past. Slide that fucker into the drain about halfway, meet resistance so pull it out and got a pretty good wad of daughter detritus. Shove it back in all the way this time and SNAP... fuckin thing broke off at the handle and the rest disappearing into the drain.
