SEASON: 233-192 (+26.85 UNITS)
Sides: 164-143 (+9.15 Units)
Totals: 69-49 (+17.7 Units)
_________________________________________

Well, let's see if we can get back on track after the horrible Sunday:

CLEVELAND +135 (1 UNIT)
BALTIMORE -135 (1 UNIT)

May add Boston on the runline......I think Boston wins this game comfortably but I won't lay the -300 juice. Might try the runline at -175 which is still high, but that's how much I like this game....any thoughts appreciated...feel free to comment. I'm gonna check up on a few more things in that game, but will post before the start if I'm playing it.

Good luck in all your plays today :D

Ndnfan, I looked closely at the run line for Boston also, but backed away due to the still large vig that has to be laid. Otherwise, I agree that the Bosox should win handily. Lowe ERA 2.48 in his last 5 at home. Benoit inexperienced and got shelled his last time out at home.

Good luck today... :)

At +270 Jack thinks..

At +270 Jack thinks..

that Texas has a better than 27 % chance of wiining this game. It's all about value and Jack sees some in Texas. Good luck.

Thanks for all the hard work this season Pete.

absolutely!

i think the line is ridiculous as i see a lot of the favorites WAY overpriced lately, even though i don't usually take a huge dog like this to WIN, i think texas has a good shot because they're in a nice groove winning 4 IAR (the streak is your friend). bosox 7-9 in august about ready, or already ready for their typical losing ways as we near the end of the season. bosox should be no more than -160 or so, IMO

good luck, i'll take my chances :D

Pete,

I am curious as to why you like Cleveland. Oakland is on a major roll, and Harang has 10 Quality Starts out of 12 total starts. Westbrook was shellacked the only other time he faced Oakland. I actually think -150 is a cheap price on the A's here.

Also, some interesting trends:

Oakland is 63-19 (yikes!) as a road favorite of -125 or more;

Oakland is 84-33 after the All-Star Break the last 2 years.

Good luck.

Pete, this is the second time I've tried to post this. Cle is a play for me today but wouldn't play a 300 fav with your money. Especially without knowing the ump. wait until the umps are posted, we might steal something.

Thanks for the comments......will not be around for Ump info tonight, so will just stay clear of the Boston game.

Eugene.....just a couple quick notes on the Cleveland game.

This team is a team that isn't just playing out the season. They looked a little lackluster yesterday, but with the stupid scheduling playing a late West coast game at Ahaheim Sunday night then traveling back EAST getting in around 6:30 in the morning Cleveland time, the players were dead tired which is why a lot of games, you'll see the first game home after a road trip the home team struggles....should be better tonight.

Harang does not match up well with with Cleveland today:

Harang allows an ERA of 1.36 runs higher on the road.

Harang will run into some control problems at times. Cleveland is a team that will draw it's fair shair of walks plus with Froemming as the ump, He might be in trouble tonight. Froemming is also on a pretty good run for the Home teams of late.

Harang's been giving up the long ball of late....allowing 5 homers in his last 23 innings which falls right into Cleveland's way of scoring. Never know, may not be solo's either with the walks and Froemming.

Westbrook going for the Tribe today scares me a bit, but not enough to keep me off them. The guy has now made 2 starts with the Tribe and pitched well in both of them, only allowing 1 run and 2 runs in his 2 starts. The only appearance Westbrook had vs Oakland this year was out of relief...completely different situation than starting. He did struggle in his one start vs them last season though, but feel you'll see a different approach from him today.

The Tribe team and the fans really are buzzing with the new Spark of the team: COCO CRISP ! No it's not a cereal, just his nick. Real name Covelli Crisp, but this guy is really getting the team and their fans fired up. He came from the Finley trade and has done everything right so far. Perfect lead off hitter with speed and has been spectaculiar in the outfield making awesome catches...Made 2 again last night.

I see it as a nice dog play......and all the situations are setting up for the Tribe, so I'm going with it.

GL Eugene and and to all :)

good luck there, dont like texas with joyce behind the plate. lowe much more precise with his pitches than benoit is, but like you said that price is outrageous.....
