I forgot Cincy beat Balt. twice. Hell, they would be Super Bowl winners if they could just play them all year. :mj07:

Haven't bet the game but I was kind of leaning the same way Jack. Especially considering NE was so flat they almost lost outright last week. Have to think they will come to play tonight.

i hoping that i'm wrong :142smilie

winning tonight would make their whole year worth *something* and next week too (Colts) in ANOTHER prime time ravens game. they might lead the league in SNF and MNF games too :00hour

straight from my good friend in b`more......

as of right now(6:11 eastern),the wind is still insane......

this goes one of 2 ways....either the wind continues like it is,giving the ravens an outside chance at the cover(right now,it would be very difficult to throw downfield in b`more)...

or,

the winds die down and the raven`s shaky secondary and miserable pass rush get eaten alive by moss and welker....

it`s anybody`s guess what the weather`s gonna be by 8:30.....

it should be verrry cold down by the inner harbor, close to the water....

you guys prolly are the closest to being on the pulse of this ravens squad....

jack not missing too many snaps -- and gw always seeming to be on right side of balt plays....

i couldnt help but notice how wide open SD receivers were LW obviously expectin more of an effort tonite--too litltle too late? too old (rolle?)--then too--on same note mOSS pretty much non-existent LW--two weeks in a row??

i actually believe that SD has a better OVERALL defense than NE--and magahee added tobvio his consec game w/TD...so i think balt has good shot of scoring 13-17 here... curious more on status/makeup of balt D

throw in your BIG NAME defensie playas gotta be gassed up from THE U: ray lewis--and probably more important "a more than usual-fired up" ed reed.
obviously NE's gonna get most team's best shot--gunnin for them... that said--can they generate anykinda pass rush w/o blitz??

do you guys see this RAVEN's defense coming close to be as on top of NE as philly was last week????---best shot is prolly jammin receivers early often---can rolle and mccallister and? is it ivy?

essentially asking for your truest though on balt defense tonight thanx in advance -t

The biggest question mark for me is how well the Ravens will be able to move AND protect the ball. If they can successfully move the chains they got a good chance to cover this game. The Ravens have homefield and weather on their side. Even if they end up with FGs I think they can cover this game. HOWEVER, if they play like their usual 3 and out offense including a couple of INTs and fumbles and it's lights out. NE wins in a blowout. One other factor I am seriously looking at is the spread itself. Look at last week how motivated the Eagles squad was, easily covering the +25 points and almost pulling off the impossible. Whenever you get a spread like that, it seems to add extra fire for the underdog or something. The Ravens have gotta be somewhat insulted by this spread and should be playing with a chip on their shoulder.

teeb`..thanks for the kind words.......i honestly can`t take the points with boller and this team......i see a -16.5 at -120 or 125 that i`m looking at....and after that close shave vs philly last week,i don`t think that the pats and particularly bill belicose are gonna be in a very good frame of mind....

expect ray lewis to girate and carry on with all that meaningless crap he still does....it`s useless....it`s nothing more than self-promotion...this team is weak exactly where the pats are strongest....the passing game on offense and defense...

all that said, this wind makes my teeth itch...i get the feeling that we`re being fattened up for slaughter......the pot's on the boil..... a few turnips and potatoes are already bobbing in the cauldron......

but,i don`t care...i`ll prolly` lay the 16.5 small...and take the pats in a teaser as someone else mentioned...

i wish the wind weren`t an issue... making it less complicated for us simple folks......

Dont forget any yards after catch..they dont need to go deep...just quick slants or hitches or whatever and let the WR do his magic.

they`re saying it`s reeeaally windy and cold....

i`d think that field goals from any reasonable distance are gonna be an adventure......

that may be bad as far as covering a big spread....and it may be good fron the standpoint that the ravens score touchdowns about as often as hillary clinton wears skirts....in many cases, matt stover is their offense....

the elements make this impossible to predict with any degree of certainty,imo....

You might see the teams go for it on fourth down from the 25 to 30 yard lines instead of kicking the field goal...

and i`d guess that would favor your boys,blitzie.....these offenses aren`t on the same level....

i can hear that wind howling.....
