perhaps we didnt watch the same game. i watched the game where a villanova team that shoots 76% from the line on the season made just 12 of 22 from the line.

both teams had chances.

im happy with the push. but nova had PLENTY of chances in the 2nd half both from point blank range inside and from the line.

neither team wanted the cover

Nova shot poorly from the line, but both West and Nelson had subpar games and St. Joe's still won comfortably. Nova was down double digits a good portion of the game, closest they ever got was 4 once...wasn't as if it was a nip and tuck contest.

west went for 21 / 11 / and 6
nelson went for 23

perhaps nova deserves a bit of credit for surving the early knockout punch and making it a game in the 2nd half?

gman2, you are absolutely right. They had a couple of chances to fold up tent early and didn't. They hung in there and deserve credit for that.
