hey terp

both teams have their playoff situations complete. Minn fifth in the western conf and Boston third in the East with home court advantage.

Why will either team care ?

Maybe they will just run and shoot which would be inclined for the over. Boston may try to tune up for the playoffs and there is some revenge motive as Minn has kicked bostons butts mostly lately.

End of season blues for me.

Good Luck !

Cooz- Detroit is locked at #2 because they won their division, the Celts can't get the two seed even with a better record.

While the 2 and 3 seeds are decided, potential second round home court is undecided. If Boston has a better record than Detroit, Boston would get home court despite being a lower seed as home court is determined by record, not seeds.

The wolves do have something to play for

The wolves do have something to play for

The home games this week -- against Boston tonight and Denver on Wednesday -- have no impact on the Wolves' playoff position. But they mean something for momentum and posterity.

Win one and the Wolves would match the best record in team history (50-32 in 1999-2000). Win both and it becomes their best regular season ever.

But resting players -- specifically Garnett, the busiest Wolf -- has value, too. Garnett (3,112) and Wally Szczerbiak (3,058) are the only ones to have played more than 2,300 minutes.

Garnett skipped the season finales in 2000 and 2001 and he might do it again if the Wolves beat Boston. "I would love to get to 50 wins, and try to keep some consistency," he said. "My body feels great. I've been nicked up a little bit, which everybody is around this time . . . I can get plenty of rest when this thing is over."
