He is out of jail on $100,000 bond.
Intoxication manslaughter carries a maximum sentence of 20 years in prison. Brent could be eligible for probation. No court dates have been scheduled.
He was found to have a blood alcohol level of 0.189; the Texas legal limit is 0.08.
Brent had served 30 days in an Illinois prison for driving drunk in 2009.
