(First of all - I am not a fan of Captain America. I am more of a Batman/Superman follower. The only reason I went to see this is because I enjoy WWII era movies)
The first 45 minutes of this film are so much fun to watch.
It's not quite Hitler vs. Captain America, rather a high ranking officer in the third reich.
What's good:
Time period
The actor portraying Captain America is dead on perfect for the role
The story is above average
What the viewer sees as to how CA becomes CA
There are some funny lines that are well timed
Love the cinematography
What's not good:
The first montage of Captain America fighting
They do not expand on the shield he carries. Disappointing. there is more to it than what they show on screen.
The ending (No spoiler, really) brings CA to present day as to fit him in with the "Avengers" movie coming in 2013
The villain's face/make-up could have been better.
Overall - this is a well done summer movie. Fun to watch. :0074
