Movie Review: Secretariat

Good movie overall. Bad acting by the kids in the movie, but they aren't in it much.

If you do see this movie - you have to keep in mind that it is a Disney movie. (corny shit every so often)

The movie leaves out a bunch of stuff and tries to cram everything in under 2 hours.

Not a theater movie, but a good rental.

I am a big fan of thoroughbred racing - so I am biased going in.

The TV promos look good but I was wondering how they would stretch it out for 2 hours. I will watch this one as a rental. Secretariat came along just when horse racing needed a boost.

I was at Satatoga when he won the Hopeful as a 2 year old and at the track when he lost to Onion in the Whitney. Truly one of the best horses to ever race.

The movie Seabiscuit is great and Secretariat is just ok.

I have to say I hated The Blind Side - the story is good and Sandra Bullock was great in it. Tim McGraw sucked the life out of the movie and all the coaches from the schools kind of killed it for me. Funny yes, but it was out of place......the movie could have been really good, however - it was the lack of a thick plot and it was without deep set character development. Over all Blindside was a disappointment.

Just watched this one. No the acting wasn't all that, especially the husband and dad. Christ he just played The Stepfather last year :facepalm:
