My kids got vaccinated. Guess what? All good!!
Honestly these vaccine naysayers are hippies and should take a bath.
I see it this way (and I am making these numbers up): There is a social contract wherein most parents expose their kids to a %0.001 chance that a vaccine will harm them instead of taking a 10-20% chance that they will contract a variety of illnesses which will then kill them 5% of the time.
Move the numbers around based on what the real risks are and then make a decision. Forget calling vaccinations "safe" or "unsafe" (un-precise and vague words to begin with), know the numbers and make a decision. I personally think the benefits are exponentially superior to the risks.
I support parents rights to make decisions for their family, but then their children should NOT be able to enroll in public school because of the risk to other kids.

I'm so skeptical of the Western medicine take a pill attitude. I'm in the business and I see this all the time. Remember most MD's don't heal, they cover up or mask the problem.........But I like your take on this issue.
We would do well to remember the examples of the Hunza (in Pakistan) and other truly isolated "primitive" peoples who are so healthy they rarely even have names for diseases that we're seeking immunizations for. It's because they don't have much in the way of disease, period. They have no shots, no free clinics and no filled-in vaccination charts... until they start eating "civilized man's" foods. When they start into a diet of processed foods, sugar, white flour and meat, they promptly contract all the "infectious" diseases.
Which would work great if we became an isolated society again, but that cat is kinda out of the bag.
American Indians didn't die from GMOs or processed food, they died from being exposed to European diseases they had no natural immunity to. The reverse happened too, though to a much lesser degree.
