My bad, not two top ten finishes, one top twenty and one top 5, unless I really can't remember.

I'm sure he'll see this thread and clear up my memory.

He went 4-1 the last week the year he snuck into the money and went a killer 5-0 the last week the year the year he got 4th.

You know there is a bigger contest this year at Harrah's?

FYI, I wasn't questioning the validity of his statement, just curious if I might remember any of the names since I was scoreboard watching when Schouest was taking a run at it.

Finally found a thread where I could peacefully co-exist with TB, thats all.

It's was a good contest until the new owners came in and changed the damn payouts AFTER the contest was over..

And the PF was correct (again WHAT AN AMAZING FEAT THAT IS ALL IN ITSELF)..

I took 5th in 2002 53-32 (and the Hilton had always paid 5th-10th in a BLOCK meaning everyone in 5th ---ME...was paid the exact same as everyone in the top 10 incluidng the 5 guys TIED for 10th)...

So basically instead of 21K, I took home about 12K (8K after taxes)..


Fast forward to 2004--49-34-2 was good enought for like 15th....BUT instead of that 11th-20th BLOCK pay out like it was FOREVER in the past it was changed, and 15th-23rd or so all got the same payout, so instead of about 8K, I got 2400....

Jay Kornegay and the new guys there decided AFTER the contest, that those block payouts were just not right..... (DUH..NO SHIT...), but if you're going to change payouts AFTER the contest, I want to get paid what I would have got paid in 2002..

If anyone is silly enought to join a contest like this.....PLEASE make em PERSONALLY right up what the payout will be WHEN YOU SIGN ON....

Lord knows they can change it...as they sit fit..


So I still wouldn't piss on the Hilton if it was on fire.....but that's just 1 man getting back doored TWICE in a 3 year span....and unlike most of the folks on the board here....

I had a temporary loss of sanity. Unlike last time it happened when I bet $7000 all or nothing on Tigertown to save my Sands account, I was able to cancel this one. :mj11:

I follow the Hilton contest every year and I can vouch for the fact that The Boys has done what he claims. Also used to frequent JD's place back when The Boys was tearing up the contest and remember the stellar job he did during the past two seasons.

This information is easily verified for anyone who cares to do so and I suggest that the doubters do a little homework before they make themselves look any more foolish that they already have.

I look forward to following your progress again this year Boyz and wish you nothing but the best. Make your friends at your new home proud, buddy.
