with Alzheimer's Disease at 9:18 a.m. today. She battled the disease for 17 years and is in a better place than she was ever offered here on Earth. While it was difficult to have much of a relationship with her due to her disease, she lead a very vibrant life prior to taking ill. She sang on Broadway, mingled with the Rat Pack and now she can dance with the angels.
It is funny though that my Mother, her sister, did go to see her last month and it is the first time my Aunt recognized anyone in twelve years. She lit up like a pinball machine when she saw my Mom for the first time that she could remember in 17 years. Very cool.

Sorry for your loss, Cris....My thoughts go out to you & your family....

I know what you experienced with your aunt because my mother had Dementia for the last few years of her life & it ate my heart out watching her deteriorate from a vibrant woman to needing help with eating....

May your aunt RIP....
