Thanks to all for the well-wishes, we truly appreciate it.

Today, my wife has agreed to due Chemotherapy. The first course is already completed. Even though it is in her lungs, we are hopeful to see improvement due to history of Hodgkins Lymphoma's reaction to treatment and that she is Chemotherapy naive (meaning she has never gotten this before). She is 32, normal LV function and EF of 55%, properly working kidneys, and of strong mind. This is going to be a process and will need to stay strong.

I will keep you all posted.

Samantha and I are definitely keeping you in our prayers. I know, first hand (via my Dad), just how tough the whole chemotherapy process can be. Positive thoughts and a strong support system are wonderful things to have. Stay strong, man. Lots of people are behind you!

i`ve said this before in this forum to try and encourage folks going through this ordeal....but,it bears repeating...

my mom was given a year to live ,went through chemo despite her doctor`s prognosis, and she lived another ten years cancer free.....and it wasn`t cancer that eventually got her at 86...

don`t get discouraged jr 11..i understand not everybody`s outcome is as good as mom`s was.......but,this thing can be done...her age and general good health and supportive family will weigh in her favor...

thoughts and prayers are with you and your family and hope everything works out for the best; lost my ex-wife when she was 32 from the big c and had 15 year old son at time. this was 16 years ago and still believe he has problems from this.

Good luck and may the load look over your wife.

Nothing new. It is a waiting game now. She is still in on the ventilator, which this will be converted to a trach tomorrow. Very difficult to see my beautiful wife going through this as it is beyond tough.

I know we all don't know each, but in a snapshoot I like to think I am about as mentally tough as anyone, but right now I am a broken man. I would rather fight 5 people than to be in the helpless situation, for at least I would know what I am getting into. This is the "UNKNOWN". No amount of fight, money, or anything else I can do other to pray for the best. She is good hands, and the appropriate decision on treatment was made given her good vitals and age.

I will keep you all posted as much as possible, and I can't thank you enough for the prayers and well-wishes.

Bad day today, and moving over to a trach was not an option. She has developed pneumonia and very critical right now. They treated her immediately with antibiotics. She is very susceptible and a "host" for infections. Vitals are stabilized, but at one point she was not passing fluids and extremely swollen, and if they give her something like lasix to help pass the fluid than the concern for her potassium levels come into the equation. Very difficult to manage her right now and frustrating to watch.

Thanks everyone.

Chasing the Next Dime...
Jr.

Will keep you and your wife in our prayers.

If you'd like, here is a link to St. Peregrine. Patron saint of Cancer patients. Print out the prayer and put it somewhere near her, if you can. It may give you and her some peace during these hard times. Helped my Father out during his time when he was young.
