Ok, so, today I get to take a day trip with "the boys" to a construction site. A part of my job is tangentially reviewing and negotiating construction exhibits as part of our real estate documents. Here are some snippets of conversation that occurred today. These are four born and bred West Texas guys.
"I'm so hungry I could eat the south end of a running gorilla". (?)
"They want me to take vacation in January. Don't they know there ain't no deer huntin' in January?"
"There are bugs down here you ain't never seen in yer life!"
"sums-a-bitches"
"F-bomb, F-bomb and another F-bomb"
The main topics of discussion were:
1. Deer huntin'
2. Other kinds of huntin'
3. Fishing (which is cool)
4. Marveling at the coolness of other stores' awnings and lighting (Ugh)
5. The hotness of other co-workers wives/gf's
So, all in all, a very fascinating day. These guys are actually very cool (the two I work with - the other two were on-site construction guys).
Is this really what you guys talk about all day long? kurby
On the good side, I now know what an X-brace is, and the difference between structural steel and other steel. Absolutely fascinating! Seriously, it was a cool trip.
