My dog licked a bat...help?

can't you leave the dog at the vet while your away....& have the inspector see the dog at the vet....
45 days is a long time to be in a small cage in a strange environment...psychologically it could scar the dog for life..
why couldn`t the quarantine be at your parents` house?.. what difference does it make which house the dog is quarantined at?...
unless the bat had tuberculosis...lol

ar...have you seen the holding areas of most vets?...there`s not much room to do anything...

why not just leave the dog at the parents and let the inspectors go there to see it?...
i find it hard to believe that the state wouldn`t work with you on this if you explained the situation?..

You will be lucky if they stop by 3 times in the whole 45 days, hell your in a city, they have lots more to do then check a dog who licked a bat, they don't have that kind of money laying around nor the man power to use. Stay with your plans and enjoy your trip and they could not win in court trying to fine you 2 grand a pop a judge would laugh at them , hell they don't fine people that much for a major crime.

1) If you're not home, how does anyone know he's not inside in a cage?
2) Your dog could well be the least of your troubles coming back from Bogata!
