http://mondayceremony.com/ Last week saturday received new dog. First a comparison about Bambam and Legend. Bambam is black and white had him since he was 8 weeks old. From day 1 he was a leader top dog. You could not train him or fool him with food he was not motivated by food. He was king of the local dog park and through the years every dog there ones he met for the first time followed and respected him there. His passion was running he lived for it. In August 2012 he had to have part of his hip and back leg amputated because of that terrible cancer the worst a bone tumor. He was 14 at the time 2 days after surgery he was home and up and walking. The dr. was shocked and amazed at his progress. In October he started chemotherapy. Poor guy was on so many meds sure his immune system was weak. In Novem ber had his 2nd chemo treatment was due for 5 and I was going to stop it because it was rough on him. After 2nd treatment tests showed he was cancer free total remission, strong heart everyone just amazed. This dog feared nothing and never let you know anything was wrong. The first time in 14 years he was shaking at the vet that day now I know it was a sign. At home when he was going to throw up he still let us know let me outside. He wasn't feeling good and I figured it was just the affects of the chemo. The 3rd day he finally ate some food from me so I thought he's ok now. That night 11/14/13 3:30 am he was laying in the living room and stopped breathing. On to Legend he is also a Siberian Husky he was deliverd last saturday. Legend is red and white. This dog is the complete opposite of Bambam. He is food obsessed will be easy to train and do anything for food. He is a follower and will roll on his back something and the only thing Bambam would not let you do. Bambam loved being outside and I was the only one he would listen to to come in the house. Legend is outside and immediately wants to come back in after taking care of business. Talk about 2 completely dogs. They have 1 thing in common and must admit everytime I think about it I tear up. BamBam died 11/14/12. Legend DOB 11/14/12.

Yep, they all have completely different personalities.

Sorry to hear about Bambam, he sounds like he was a good buddy.

Thanks for sharing and have fun with your new buddy.

We love our dogs, they are family to us, 4 of them. After we raised our three boys we figured we needed some pups to spoil.

Great Dane, St Bernard mix, shar pei and moms lap dog a puggle. the problem is that the two big guys think they fit on her lap as well. Thank God her lap is not sized to accommodate them. :0074

Your newest addition sounds like a great pal.:0008

Legend in his short life has already been thru alot. He was originaly brought to local animal control because the owner didn't want him. From all the paper work I went thru owner said he was aggressive and always running away. That could be true for christ sake he's a young husky but he had medical problems I'm sure this guy knew this was going to be very expensive. Turns out he needed surgery for a collapsed testicle and a clef palate. MADC held him there as long as they could and he was going to be euthanized. They finally got in touch with Free Spirit Siberian Husky rescue in Harvard, Illinois. The lady who runs the place agreed to take him or he would have been put down. Their vets did the surgery so it was a long wait before they cleared him to deliver to us. He can only eat wet food for now untill he is cleared by the vet nothing hard no toys, treats anything. Maybe this explains his food obsession but can't wait till he can get on dry food.
