They must be pretty bad. I got so lucky. I only hope my inlaws love me as much as I love them. At 68 they are 10/12 years older than my parents but they act 25 years younger.

everything went fine MIL was a little on the quiet side dont know why and dont really care.
A little about MIL. My kids are now 16 and 12 and MIL has never and i mean never offered or invited my 2 kids to go sleep at grandmas house. Its a inconvenience for her for soemone to go sleep over and mess up her routine. If i ever get that way please biatch slap the fuk out of me. I could go on and on about her but thats just a little of what we dealing with.

I know EXACTLY how you feel man,,Mine is exactly the same way,,She is too busy worried about her drug riddled son who steals from her to appreciate the fact her daughter is the one she is missing out on life,,My wife has given up on asking her to do anything,,,And our 2 children have never spent the night there but my mom has kept them both every friday night for the first 9 years of thier life so my wife and I can have date night:toast: ,NOW the sad part,,I have to go over there tonight for Christmas because they found the druggie in jail but he gets out today so we gonna celebrate tonight,,,:facepalm: :shrug:

First let me say I don't have kids, yet. So therefore I don't know nothing (using the bad grammar to accentuate my ignorance here). I have heard this a few places that people are upset with certain grandparents because "they never spend time with the kids", when it really is, "I wish the grandparents would take the kids for the night more so we don't have to deal with them". The reason for the animosity seems a little self-serving to me.

Seriously though, that is quite strange that they have never spent the night at Grandma's.
thats not the point i was getting at. We dont go out alot and when we do we take the kids. My point was she does not like to be inconvenienced in any way shape or form.
Shes never asked for them to sleep over.
Shes never asked if she can pick them up from school to go get ice cream.
She doesnt come to one kids softball games and she lives a mile from the park where they play at.
Shes all about herself. Shes selfish and lazy. And my wife feels the same way.

One timer the reason i feel this way is not the 2 reasons you stated above its because shes lazy and doesnt want to inconvenience herself. She doesnt go out her way for anyone. We never throw the kids on her. Never have never will. The kids have a great relationship with her. My wife brought it up to me that she has never had them over to sleep before. I said you know i think your right. I said why do you think that has never happened. And she said she doesnt like to be inconvenciened in any way and it would mess up her routine. This is coming from her own daughter. Her own daughter says she lazy. This is a woman who drives almost every day and theres nothing wrong with her physically yet she got her own doctor to get her a handicapped sticker so she could park in the handicapped so she wouldnt have to walk that far when she goes to Wal Mart, Walgreens, Dollar General, etc, etc.
