Curling...

Canadian Men to win a medal with the Canadian Women to win Gold. +140

I mean, it can't lose. As Weird Al sings in Canadian Idiot... "They treat Curling just like it's a real sport."

Curling...

Canadian Men to win a medal

Canada is cheating to win, so I like your chances.

About time we cheat, we have been screwed over by other countries (including all USA drug cheaters) for decades, about friggen time we start cheating. I didn't know it would happen in curling though. And I didn't know it would involve "f bombs" and "throwing punches in the locker room".

By the way if you know anything about curling this kind of cheating happens all the time, but usually not at the Olympics or World Championships.

Love the "f bombs":D

This has to be the front-runner for most hilarious quote of the Olympics.

I appreciate the Canadian men pulling out all the stops for me to hit my parlay. It'd be nice if the Canadian women tried a little harder to hold up their end.

Be a massive massive massive choke job if the Canadian chicks don't make the semi final. They are playing terrible, but they are still mathmatically alive to make the semis, but it ain't looking good.

They were pretty much a lock to win Gold, and now they might not even make the top 4🤦‍♀️

They just gotta run the table to make the next round. Maybe the Olympics fell during their time of the month? I assume they've been training together long enough that they're synched up.

Wagering on women's sports is difficult.

Apparently the ladies are cheating, too. Just not as well as the men.

As stated above, it is technically against the rules, but happens all the time "on tour". Almost every curler at that level does this, the only reason it came to light is because two dudes on the Swedish Team were trying to "throw the Canucks off their game" (which didn't work). Every curler at the Olympics knows this rule violation is a dumb rule that doesn't effect the game at all. I mean you don't have to have a physics degree to know that "gently tapping" a rock that is on the OTHER SIDE of the ice sheet has zero effect on where the rock eventually ends up. These "tiny finger tip taps of the rock" have zero effect on anything, it is just a dumb rule, and all the curlers know it.

It is just "mind games" shit, and that is all it is, they ALL KNOW the "double tap behind the hog line" does absolutely nothing to the outcome of the game. But on the plus side it sure has given curling a ton of publicity, all involved in Curling are loving this shit:ROFLMAO:

And anytime you have "curling fights", I am all for it.:geek:

The chick women's Canuck team ain't cheating, but they should be. They are getting ripped for their shit play here in Canada, they have sucked and were a lock to win gold, yet have done absolute shit so far.

They better do some Marion Jones kind of cheating soon, because they need to win, time for Canada to start really cheating:smilies1

I was wondering how that could possibly be helping them. It's not like one second after releasing the rock you know it needs a tiny little extra tap from your finger. But then the question is... why the fuck do it?

Do the Canadian ladies have a big presence on the social media? Maybe they're more focused on hooking up over there than they are on getting a medal. There's an American chick, I can't remember her name or sport, who posted she was looking to "date" while she's over there. And if she couldn't find enough athletes to "date", then she'd gladly "date" fans. May have been the first time I was actually glad our tax dollars don't support the Olympians.

It would make sense. Curlers aren't used to being around real athletes. Maybe they're all just too busy fucking French biathletes. With the emphasis on "bi." Hey-O!!

It doesn't help at all, as to why any curler does it, it is more of a repetition/brain kind of thing, like bouncing the ball before you serve in tennis, you don't even know you are doing it. When you are a little kid learning to curl, many coaches will tell you to "point at the rock" and some even to "gently touch it"......as years and years go by it gets locked into your brain (repetition) and you don't even know you are doing it.

The point (pardon the pun) is simple, it doesn't help at all. Gently touching the stone with the tip of your finger at THE OTHER END of the ice does absolutely nothing.
