I started a thread this morning...no one responded and i don't mean to drag it into yours, but this line seems fishy to me. I'm with you...Iona should be giving more....coming off of a win against Iowa State at Iowa State. Fordham losing to Siena and St. Francis. I'm not sure why I'm hesitating...just seems like they are asking for Iona money.

With that said...I'm thinking about pounding it.

Thu 12/1 511 Iona -1.5 -110 -129 OVER 136.5 -102
04:30 PM 512 Fordham +1.5 +100 +119 UNDER 136.5 -108

Line went from Iona -2 to -2.5 and now down to -1.5

Just added another $200

Maybe this is a sucker play, but if you look at the database and overall talent, this seems like a no-brainer!!!! Anything can happen in College Hoops and any team can win on any given day!

With that said: Can't seem to find any reason or stat to back Fordham. Maybe the betting public likes the Home dog or the "why is line so low factor?"

Will take my chances with the better team and talent. GL in whatever you do tonight!!!!! :thumb:

Thanks TJ.

I agree. I took it and am going to take it again. Just trying to figure out why the line is where it is. Hopefully we are right.

Good luck!

Per covers (Brian G.)-
Iona is averaging 83 ppg and is 3-0 overall. The Gaels have faced and won over Iowa State on the road and Portland state and Howard at home. All 3 of their wins have been 80 or more.

Fordham is a dismal 1-4 overall and 2 of those losses were at home. They are averaging 61 ppg. The only win the Rams had so far was against Norfolk State; who have also gone 1-4 this season. Of all the Ram's losses the highest points they had was 68 when Georgia beat them by 11 points.

Also: Iona averages 85 pts per game VS Fordhams 61 points.

Take that FWIW.

This piece of infomation is hardly meaningful. Different teams play at different tempo's. Plus these teams have only played a handful of game, not nearly enough to draw conclusions.

Sure Fordham has faltered recently but they did play competitive games with ODU and Georgia to begin the year. They then blew out Norfolk before their recent bad losses against St. Francis and Siena. Its not as if they are totally inept. After their loss to Siena the coach apparently missed his post-game conference to chew out his team for 20 minutes in the lockeroom.

Iona is getting a lot of respect for taking out Iowa St. in their building but it is just one win. Its still too early to say how good this team is. Irvine was getting a lot of pub early on and then they go out and lose to Cal St. Stanislaus. Iowa St. could have been looking ahead to their rivalry game against N. Iowa.

Fordham beat Iona last year and they have 4 starters back from that team.

Just something to think about.

HPark1: I know that. Just have to venture big every now and then and this seems like the game.

Line seems too low and with any game (and any can lose on any day) you have to pull the trigger on whatever info/stats you cap the games by.

This one I can't pass up. Thanks and GL Bro!!

(Appreciate the info! Maybe looks too easy but I gotta run with this!)

Big revenge play as well -- I too feel this line is much lower than I expected. The series history is very erratic with these teams, which is my only concern, but Iona is the better team on paper tonight.

Good luck TJ.

gonna sit this one out but hope you nail it TJ.
i expect fordham to be somewhat of a sleeper in the atlantic 10 this year. i dont think theyre a bad team at all. theres a lot more talent in that program than many think. but iona is one of those teams (a la pepperdine from the last few years) that underachieves at times, but when they come to play, theyre a very good team. i think the line is about fair- thought the line would be about a pick'em. but certainly see the reasons for backing a good iona team tonight.

This is similar to the game last night ala SDSU favorite by 3 at USD which is only 5 miles west. SDSU had previously won the last 6 year series matchup. Guess who won?
