OK this is a good one:

On 12/14/2005 I bought a Cannon SD550 7.1 MP digital camera from Costco for $399.99, not a bad price for it I thought. Yesterday I looked at the Costco website and I see my camera is now $299. Man $100 in 6 months, big price drop I think. So I grab my old receipt and I print up the Costco page showing the price drop. I jump in the car and head off to my local Costco store. I go to the front desk and I explain the situation to the lady at the counter. She says just a minute please sir let me get a manager for you. The manager a very nice young lady looks at my paperwork then asks for my credit card and credits me the $100 difference without asking one question........COME ON is this company great or what???? Customer for life, ME.

I'm thrilled that you have had yet another great Costco transaction. How many shares do you own?

how many steaks and cigars and power lunches at the strip club does that $100 buy you? something tells me this is like a pump and dump stock scheme where he pumps up costco so people buy their shares, or else he does it on purpose  b/c employees would have no vested interest if people liked costco or not

tell them I'd like a chain in my hometown or close. Sounds like a nice place to do business.

They're real good for bulk goods (food). Prices are competitive on those too. The only electronic I would buy from them is a plasma TV - ONLY because of the return policy (This would justify overpaying for it). On other electronics, look elsewhere (ebay, amazon, other websites) because chances are you can find it cheaper than costco.

Not sure that by sharing his shopping experiences at Costco is going to cause a bunch of MadJackers to run out and by the stock.

This is a $52 plus dollar stock that will trade maybe 3 million shares today.........I doubt if anyone from the forum buys any of this stock it would matter.

Boys, completely agree with you on Costco. we have been members for over 15 years.

They also have great prices at their pharmacy on prescriptions.

Great place to shop and they do take anything back with original documentation and price tags.

I had a similar experience at linens n' things.

I bought one of those robot floor washers (scooba) & I love the convenience of them. The only problem is that they have not perfected it yet, so I had to take it back a couple times.

I got this thing for 320 (400 - 20% coupon). So the thing breaks down after about 3 months. I take it back & they tell me to grab a new one. I see that they are now down to 300 instead of 400. When I get back, the clerk says, "I credited your credit card $84 because they are on sale." They gave it to me for 300 - 20% coupon... 240. I never even had to ask for the new discount.

The funny part is that I was expecting her to tell me to call irobot to get it fixed becuase I bought it so long ago.

I think NYSportsFan works at Wal Mart and is pissed Costco is getting all this publicity. He probably has a scheme to make money if Costco stock goes down. Seems reasonable...
