So they are freezing your $? I just started up my NFL Survivor and Pickem and fantasy football too. I get decent sized numbers both in entrants and $. They are stating I couldn't deposit without giving them a couple of my drivers license and SSN. I have like 2k now but expect like 5 times this coming in, I guess I should take that out and cease account?

I've read about that happening and it takes a long, long time to get your money too.

Ugh!! Sorry Bleeding, that sucks. Thats a damn shame the 33 board is a fun thing I really enjoyed the past couple of summers, it always seems when I pay attention my team never even gets close, then I look away for a couple of weeks and $150 ends up in my paypal.

Let me know if I can be of any assistance.

A goddamn shame that America cares about shit like this. Fucking I have to wear a seat belt in my fucking car but I can ride a motorcycle without a helmet and my M16 strapped to my back. IT boggles my mind how certain things are legal and certain things "illegal" in this country.

The "Good Book" and those big lobbyists sure do a fine job telling us how to be FREE.

I'll now step down from my soap box and go enjoy a cold one on the patio.

This just happened to me today, from sending paypal to 1Vice. Ugh.

Well its weird that you can come here and say that its because of sending money to us? Did paypal close your account and say they know you sent your $ to 1vice lol ?

The reason I ask is we have had no issues on our end for anything like this. So it come as a surprise to me that you would assume or blame us for this.

I think in this day and age we are all grown men and smart enough to realize that if we are using methods such as wu,mg,pp,cc or anything else that the US government or any of those companies deem to be illegal that its only a matter of time before they put a stop to it. But to blame the place your using for those activities seems a little like passing the buck to me.

Anyways I hope you get your issue cleared up and I would appreciate you not trying to implicate us or any other shop when you speak with paypal, like you did here on this forum. Let me know if I can be if assistance in any way.

Yep

Yep

Paypal is notorious for this. They're not my favorite place for sending and receiving money either. Back in the early days of Paypal's inception they had major obstacles because of bank fraud and when working with the banks they were warned about this. Their idiotic response was that they had a team of people that worked on this, they should have had an army. It's no secret either you can read about it in the book "Founders at work" which is an excellent read and talks about the early days of many tech companies. It's also no secret that they still have problems with it in the present day. Check out some of the many sites out there that hate paypal like "paypalsucks".
Being originally from Omaha I have had many friends that worked for the company at one time or still do. It's still a major problem and their policy is they can shut down an account at anytime for any reason they see fit. I have a paypal account but I try not to use it as I have had problems with them myself in the past as an ebay buyer and seller. Good luck!

This is a very discouraging development. I hope it's not an indication of how things will be, but that's probably wishful thinking.

In the case of fantasy football that is really ridiculous and it sucks.

But for those using PP to fund their book....are you really surprised?? Any intermediary used to fund a sportsbook account will eventually end up being on lock down. Any money I've ever sent to a SB I know there is a decent chance I may not see it again. You are rolling the dice- just like every aspect with gambling, if that money makes or breaks you, it shouldn't be used for wagering.
