somewhere over the rainbow
Panthers at Redskins
This Redskins team is tough to figure out. Sitting at 3-2 with wins vs the Cardinals, Packers and now the Panthers they sit at the top of the NFC east. Washington used a quick start and some great defense to grab a win here. After being humiliated on MNF in week 5 the Redskin defense showed up big, intercepting Cam once and forcing 2 fumbles. Washington held the Panthers #3 ranked rushing offense to just 81 yds on the ground. The Redskins bulit a 17-0 lead and then rode the back of AP who carried 17 times for 97 yds. Alex Smith was efficient throwing 2 tds and 0 ints, as a team the Redskins didn't turn the ball over. They now face the second ranked rushing team and division rival Cowboys in week 7, Panthers travel again this week, this time to Philly to face the Eagles.

Bucs at Falcons
Offense surely has not been a problem for the Falcons this year scoring 30+ in 4 of there 6 games including this week vs the Bucs. Matt Ryan was sharp against the leagues worst pass defense completing 31 of 41 for 354 yds and 3 tds and 0 ints. In Atlantas 2 wins Ryan has been sacked just once, in the 4 losses 16 times! Keep his uniform clean and the wins will come. Did you know with Ryans 3 tds he passed Joe Montana for 16th all time! Pretty good company. What can you say about the Bucs? After Fitz got them out to a 2-1 start (nearly 3-0 lost to Pitt by 3) they turn to Winston who hasn't been terrible but they haven't won with him. Just dont understand why you are that quick to bench the hot hand. Tampa hosts Cleveland in week 7, Falcons have a back to back home situation when the extra rested Giants visit Atlanta next Monday night.
*Side note, Defensive coordinator Mike Smith has been fired by TB

Steelers at Bengals
Ben hit AB for the winning td with 10 seconds left on what looked like a "pick" play, no flag was thrown and the Steelers moved to 3-2-1 winning there second game in a row. James Conner ran for 111 yds and 2 tds, he now has 7 tds in 6 games tying him with Franco Harris and the bus as the only other Steelers to accomplish that. Le'veon WHO? JuJu and AB both went over 100 yds receiving and the Pitt offense seems to be what we expected. In Pitts 6 games this year they have either led or been tied at halftime in each. The Steeler dominance of the Bengals continued as Big Ben is now 14-2 at Paul Brown Stadium and Marvin Lewis continued to struggle vs Pitt now 2-16 as the Bengals HC at home. Bengals head to KC to face the high flying Chiefs next, the Steelers are on a bye week 7...Will Le'veon report? Does anyone care?

Chargers at Browns
This was an impressive win for LA. They came west to east and put it to the Browns. Rivers threw just 20 passes for 207 yds and 2 tds. 7 different ball carriers totaled 246 yds rushing with Gordon leading the way with 18 carries for 132 and 3 tds. Mayfield had his worst game of his short career so far completing less than half his passes while being sacked 5 times. The Browns had been competitive in every game this year with there largest loss being by just 3 points. Cleveland heads to Tampa in week 7 while the Chargers have a date with Tennessee in England next Sunday morning.

Bills at Texans
Pretty boring game here as most Bills games are. Houston used there defense to seal the deal. After knocking rookie Allen out, Nathan "thats a big" Peterman came in and did what he does best which is throwing to the opposite team. A pick 6 by Jonathan Joseph with about a minute and a half left all but did the Bills in. JJ Watt recorded a sack for the 4th straight game and the Texans won there third straight. The bright spot for the Bills was there pass rush, they sacked mobile qb Watson 7 times and now have 19 in 6 games. Bills travel once again next week to Indy, Texans go to struggling Jacksonville.

Bears at Dolphins
Strange game. Bears off there bye with the defense playing outstanding and facing back up QB Osweiler. Dolphins lead 7-0 at halftime and if you had the under you were loving it, but wait. 52 points later the Dolphins win in o.t. On the opening drive of OT, Drake mysteriously fumbles with hardly any contact at the goal line going in for the winning score. Bears take over and drive into long fg range for the win only to miss. Dolphins turn back around and drive for the game winner. Trubisky had 3 more td passes, thats 9 now in his last 2 games. For the Dolphins, Osweiler had a good game 28-44 380 yds and 3 tds and Old man Frank Gore went over 100 yds on the ground. The Bears host New England in week 7, Dolphins are home for the second week in a row hosting the Lions off there bye.

Cardinals at Vikings
Game went about as planned. Close in the first half, 13-10 at halftime. Vikings showed a little more balance than they have this year so far running the ball 32 times vs throwing 34 times. Cousins was ok, 24-34 233 yds a td and a int, he was sacked 4 times so Vikings need to improve there. Lat Murray carried the load, 24 times for 155 yds. This was the first time this season the Vikings have had a 100+ yard rusher and they rank 28th in the league on the ground, something that could hurt them down the road if they don't improve. Thieland has become Cousins favorite target, he caught 11 balls for 123 yds and a td. If he's not the best WR right now then he has to be in the top 3, 6 straight 100+ yd games and 58 catches in 6 games are the most in league history to that point. Fantasy owners are kicking themselves for drafting David Johnson so soon, he hasn't topped the 100 yard mark at all in 6 games in fact his highest rushing total in a game has been just 71 yds, who woulda thought that? Cardinals head home for a Thursday night game with Denver in week 7. Vikings head to Met Life a game that I will be at as well to take on the Jets, playing there 3rd straight home game and winners of 2 in a row.

Colts at Jets
Game flew over the total, 76 combined points on a posted total of 48. Jets won back to back games for the first time in over a year. Kicker Jason Myers kicked a Jets record 7 fgs and Darnold had a very efficient 24-30 2 tds and an int game. Jets used a very balanced attack again this week with 30 passes and 36 runs a formula for success in the NFL. Colts again were pass heavy with Luck throwing 43 times for 301 yds and 4 tds but threw 3 ints. Colts were 43 passes and just 23 runs equating to another tough loss. TE Ebron caught another td in this one giving him 3 straight games with a td reception and 4 in the last 3 games. Indy has a chance to get back on the winning side in week 7 when they host Buffalo who will be on B2B road games, Jets are home for the third straight week to host the Vikings, I'll be there so hoping for a good one.

Seahawks at Raiders (England)
Raiders now 1-5, probably should be 0-6 if not for the gift vs the Browns a couple weeks ago. London loves its American football, nearly 85,00 fans attended. How long before a team relocates to England or expansion? This one was never really close, Seahawks led 17-0 at halftime, 20-0 after 3 and finished it 27-3. Seattle has now won 3 of there last 4. Wilson was 17-23 222 and 3tds, Seahawk ball carriers had 37 attempts for 155 yds. On the opposing side Carr was 23-31 for 142 yds an average 6.1 yds per pass, blah! Carr left the game mid way through the 4th qtr but Oakland never got the ball back so we didn't get to see if McCarron would replace Carr. Oakland and Seattle each with bye weeks in week 7

Rams at Broncos
Rams held off a late rally by Denver in this one and improved to 6-0. After surrendering 31 points in B2B games Wade Phillips return to Denver saw his defense hold the Broncos to 20 points. Gurley seems unstoppable totaling 208 yds rushing and 2 more tds. Goff didnt throw a td pass in this one and was sacked 5 times so the Rams have to clean that up a bit but otherwise this team is rolling. The Broncos drop there 4th straight after starting 2-0. Keenum threw 41 passes for 322 yds and 2 tds but Denver couldnt get anything going on the ground rushing just 17 times for 60 yds. Rams head to San Fran for there third straight road game, The Broncos have short week traveling to Arizona for Thursday night football in week 7.

Jaguars at Cowboys
A bit of a shocker here as the Cowboys put 40 on the Jags. Dak went 17-27 for 183 yds and to 2tds vs the best pass defense in the league. The real story was the running game for Dallas who ran the ball 42 times for 206 yds. Zeke led the way with 106 yds and a td and Dak added 82 yds and a td. Since beating the Pats in week 2 the Jags have dropped 3 of 4 averaging just 14.5 PPG while allowing 22.7 including 70 pts in last 2. Jacksonville clearly misses often injured Fournette unable to do anything on the ground totaling just 65 yds rushing in week 6. Dallas heads to division rival Washington in week 7, they are 0-3 on the road and 3-0 at home. Jags try to get things turned around hosting Houston.

Ravens at Titans
As I said last week, this Titans team and Mariota in particular is one of the worst 3-2 (now 3-3) teams that I have seen in awhile. Mariota was 10-15 117 yds and was sacked 11 times! So the Oline didn't do him any favors but my God these guys are bad. The Titans only ran 29 plays in a total dominating performance by Baltimore here. Flacco was 25-37 238 yds and a td. 6 Ravens ran the ball 35 times for 123 yds. Ravens finally return home after winning 2 of last 3 on the road to face a Saints team off a bye. Titans losers of 2 straight and scoring just 12 pts in last 2 head to England to take on the Chargers.

Chiefs at Patriots
This one lived up to the hype. A posted total of 59 flew over with 83 combined. Mahomes proved he belonged at the top of the AFC throwing for 352 yds and 4 more tds. Tyreek Hill scored 3 tds and New England really had no answer for him. KC just needs a little more balance, they are almost too high powered and that formula wont work vs teams who can run the ball down the stretch. Patriots have found there answer at RB with Sony Michel, he went over 100 yds and scored twice. He now has 4 tds and 316 yds in the last 3 games. Brady threw for 340 yds and a td to Edelman and also ran for one. After losing 2 in a row New England has ripped off 3 straight wins scoring 38 or more in each of those. Guess the Brady/Belichik era isn't over yet. Pats hit the road for the first time in three weeks to face the Bears, Chiefs head home for another Sunday night game vs the Bengals.

49ers at Packers
Game looked like it was headed to OT but a turnover, penalty and a Mason Crosby fg gave the Packers the win. A week after Crosby had the worst game of his career he redeems himself going 4-4 and a game winner. Rodgers was Rodgers going 25-46 for 425 and 2 tds. Davante Adams was on the receiving end of both Rodgers tds and he added 10 catches for 132 yds, TE Graham had his first 100+ yd game as a Packer totaling 104. SanFrancisco played a good game here in a hostile environment and maybe even deserved to win. Beathard was 16-23 245 and 2 tds but threw the critical pick late in the 4th. 49ers racked up 174 yds on the ground but fell short on Monday night. Packers have a week 7 bye, 49ers head home to face the Rams who are playing there third straight on the road.

Early week 7 look ahead

Cardinals +2.5
If David Johnson can't get it going in this one then he wont. Denver is the worst defense vs the run this year. Broncos lost 4 straight after 2-0 start, 0-2 on road. Zona looks like a live home dog especially if it gets to +3

Pats -3.5
Brock Osweiler just torched this Chicago defense that we all think or thought was good. 3-2 Chicago wins are vs Seattle, Arizona and TB. Pats rolling right now

Saints +2.5
Wrong team is favored here. Ravens tough at home but Saints off a bye and way too many weapons with Ingram back now. This will definetely be on my week 7 card, probably playing the ML

Redskins pk
Smith makes a difference for Washington. He's a good leader and a game manager. Can Washington stop the run? If they do then they win here.

Chargers -7
You already know what I think of Tennessee, only question is all the travel for LA, not sure it will matter. Chargers much better on both sides of the ball. Wait and see

Have a great week 7 everyone
