Cormac McCarthy is a great American writer... IMO.

Read The Road again last week... going to see the movie tomorrow. :)

Read The Road and liked it. Didn't know there was a movie, but I'll watch it on DVD or InDemand when available.

What was so good about it? I didn't hate it, but don't see why everyone seems to love it.

Just watched Unforgiven on AMC, now THERE is a classic!

wasn't crazy about old men either....but really liked unforgiven, which was probably the most realistic western ever made....

Bystander: Well, sir, you are a cowardly son of a bitch. You just shot an unarmed man!

William Munny: Well, he shoulda armed himself, if he's gonna decorate his saloon with my friend.

"the bunker"
unforgiven bored me to tears...felt like hollyweird throwing clint a bone and hoping he`d fade into the sunset(and i really like eastwood)...of course,it just encouraged him....and "million dollar baby"?...wtf was that?..certainly not a boxing movie...more like a chick flick...

old men was a classic,imo...bardem,jones and woody harrelson were fantastic....loved the way it ended...not some clean cookie cutter("the good guys always win") hollywood b.s...

btw...agent...that umcka natural flu stuff actually works...had a 100 degree temp on thursday night w/ coughing and the usual flu symptoms(chills etc),started taking the stuff, and in a day or two,i was pretty much o.k....

had the regular flu shot a month ago,so maybe i had the h1n1 flu?...don`t know...

anyway,appreciate the heads up...
