Someone please explain to me why the Nats remain big favorites at home against good teams. Their home record is pathetic especially against teams over .500. Last night they were a ridiculous -180 and now -140 with Gonzalez pitching who has been terrible. I do not play a lot of baseball, but I will gladly take + money everyday on a +.500 team against the Nats.

because the lines are meant to lead the public where vegas wants them to go, in this case they want the public to think the nats are the play when actually the braves are the only sensible play!!:toast:

Still going against the Nats today. Get Foltynewicz +200, thank you very much. Yes, Scherzer is awesome, but they do not score runs for him and he gives up HRs. Braves get a HR or 2 and they win.

On Milwaukee -125 again this afternoon as Roark has not been good at all and we continue to get great prices against a team that is poor against good teams.

Never thought I would be saying this, but Davey Martinez is the worst managerial hire the Nats have ever made. Yes, he is worse than Matt Williams.

The Nats own Cincinnati (8 straight wins), they should continue to hit against DeScalfini who hasn't made it 5 innings in his last 3 starts and Gio has great numbers against the Reds.

Will play Nats -1.5 +110.

We were both suckers. Gio sucks. He will not see any more of my money this year. He simply has no control which has plagued him from being a great pitcher his whole career. Early on he could blow it by people but not anymore.

Going against them today. On the road against a winning team. They had a decent home stand but they have bullpen issues which likely will cost them in close games. 7 games left against the Cubs! They need to win but I will believe it when I see it.

I can honestly say that Davey Martinez is the worst manager in baseball. He is a complete disaster and should have been fired at the break. Every game I watch I am amazed at how incompetent he is. Your losing 3-2 top of the 8th, first and second no one out and you do not even consider bunting. Instead you think Reynolds will hit a 3 run homer. Seriously, what ever happened to good fundamental baseball. Soto gets picked off twice at first base. Just another day for the Nats.

I am definitely on the Cubs again today at -125. Great price to me, don't care how good Roark has been lately. The Nats will find a way to lose.

Another epic loss by the Nats. Got home from dinner last night and bet the Cubs +300 in game before the 8th inning. Never expected to win that way but I did expect the Nats bullpen to implode. It is terrible right now and will be until Doolittle comes back. Madson is old and has been bad all year. Seriously, there is absolutely no excuse for a major league pitcher to hit 2 batters in the 9th inning with a 3 run league. If Scherzer were on a better team he would already have 20 wins and be having one of the best season in modern baseball history as a starter.

Mostly because Martinez has no idea what he is going. With their bullpen issues, Max could have went one more inning.

Every team has injuries, being able to manage through them is one of the things that makes a great manager. People hated on Dusty Baker but the Nats had almost as many injuries last year and he managed through it. This year is a completely different story. Martinez is completely clueless. He wants to be liked by everyone instead of being respected. Worst hire by the Nats maybe ever and that is saying something since Matt Williams was a disaster.

Guess what, blew another one last night with another huge in-game payoff for the Cards after the 7th inning. The Nats have absolutely no bullpen right now. Rizzo is partly to blame for this as he traded Kinzler and then fired Kelley. While neither was anything special, he is regretting those decisions right now as the bullpen is a dumpster fire.

If they are winning by a manageable margin and the starter comes out, go in-game an bet against them. Nice payoffs last two nights.

Gio is going tonight and he rarely makes it past the 6th inning since he can not keep his pitch count down due to walks, so the bullpen will be needed again tonight!! My guess is Rizzo has been up all night trying to find some reinforcements.
