I thought for sure there would be a play on the HOUSTON game today - a colaboration between "The axes" - Sr. and Jr.

This HOUSTON team is playing with a pile of confidence right now - not unlike when they went on the 23 game winning streak last year.

Can you imagine what the line would be for the next round if the Rockets knock off the great Lakers!!

Thanks Dave. I see your point with HOU and if this wasn't a game 7 situation and not in LA and not against the unpredictable LAL, it may be worth the risk. Weighing risk/reward was a huge factor for me here.

FWIW, here's a thought. Play HOU ML for insurance and couple your other plays with the LAL ML. Reduced juice makes some of the other plays attractive. The value on the HOU ML makes it a disposable wager yet serves as insurance and allows you to reduce the juice on some of your other action. BOL pal

Honestly, flip a coin. No telling how this game plays out. After the game, half can claim they knew it all along. If you're itching for action, make the play but give some thought to what you're willing to lose. BOL Eagle.

My thought on the Lakers game is LA -7.5 (1st Half)

Kobe is not going to wait around trying to get others involved. He will come out very aggresive looking to get a nice lead.

I can't play the game based on the past but I would guess they never let off the gas in this one.

LOL, JBrill emailed me a few days ago saying "I know you're on BOS"...

That would be a very safe assumption. The question is not who to bet on here...it's more who NOT to be against. I can bet against ORL for gm7 in BOS with less than 1 poss for a line. I can't say the same for BOS. With any and all of the numbers, I don't see a signal that says "play against" BOS IMHO. BOL pal

.I think they win a close 1 today. Seems like the Celtics r a very popular play today.I really thought they would be a 5-6 pt fav. After all its a game 7@ home.even though Ewing made the guarentee, the pressure is still on Boston.

Lay the pts. Houston should be really good next season once they r at full strenght , but this is Kobe's year.

Going against the grain but I think ORL pulls out
a game 7 win. I never saw the line at -1 at my. book but even at -2.5 I was thinking that something was fishy.

Go back to a few games... the odds to win the series favored ORL when the series was tied at 2-2. The books knew that ORL would have to win one at Boston but that's how they lined it even after momentum had swung to Boston with Big Baby's game winning shot.

I think ORL is going to jump out to a lead and unlike the other night, they will find a way to hold on. I agree with previous posters that Boston has veterans and has shown they are a gutsy team. But you have to ask yourself, what are they really playing for?... They won a championship last year. Their best player is out. Will anyone blame them if they get bounced in game 7 of this series? Think about what's waiting for them if they do win... A potential ass-kicking by the Cavs.

Just my two cents. I know it won't be a popular opinion.

David Stern really isn't even trying to be subtle anymore. Nope. Yeah, the one game where the Rockets/Lakers matchup almost ended up in a brawl... guess who the lead referee was? That's right -- Joey Crawford!

You would think that Stern would like to avoid the mere appearance of impropriety by assigning damn near anyone but Crawford to be at today's game. Take a big, BIG guess as to who has been assigned as the lead referee for Game 7 in Los Angeles. That's right -- Joey Crawford!

I hate you Joey Crawford. I know you have an agenda. I also know that your particular agenda (assignment?) for today is a polar opposite of my preferred outcome for Game 7. This does not make me a happy person this morning.

This is essentially a memo to Kobe Bryant that errant elbows will be allowed all throughout this afternoon's contest. At this point, the only thing that would shock me more is if Jake O'Donnell was brought out of retirement to screw the Rockets over again.
