From our old home, we would get bombarded with..
"what's the play?"
"what do you think of this?"
It becomes disruptive to our process.
We want people to give us thoughts, insights, opinions...etc. The "no picks inside" repels some of those just looking for a handout and if it doesn't pan out come back in here and bash.
If you're in here and you're part of the thought process to get to a play and it losses. You don't feel so bad because you knew it was the right call. You did the research and you went back and forth with others. It just didn't win.
Please join us. We'd love another set of eyes/ears.
I have just recently started looking at these thread. They are great. Thanks for getting them going. I was on the Minn/ATL under w/you last night. Lost, but the analysis was spot-on. The game was going our way til the final few minutes. I much prefer threads where people are giving reasons they are looking one way or another than those where someone just throws down their picks. Most prob just got them through a coin flip, then they vanish. Discussion is the way to go.
I don't have the databases or time to research like some. I try to look at things when someone makes a blanket statement like "Oh, it is so hard to beat the same team three times in a season" or "Take the home team when the visitor is playing on the road back-to-back". Old wives' tales don't get it done.
Tonite I gotta think the Lakers/OKC under is the way to go. Both are on massive under streaks (Lakers 9 of 13/OKC 11 of 14) and the two previous meetings played under tonite's total. Lakers' unders are a bit more threatening b/c they have been playing under to higher totals than tonite's.
