This game could have much to say about who the coach at both these schools is next yr. Amato is a little more desperate because of the 1-2 start but the 20 -22 ACC # & the 3 wins in the last 10 and 6 st losses in the ACC doesn't help. What stands out : NC ST can't block, so they can't protect the QB and can't run. Davis has been sacked 8x so far. To many penalties + 9 to's. St has lost the L4 in the series : 24-14 / 29 -21 / 24-17 / 27-17 / . They did play V Tech close, V Tech feeds off teams like this. All you have to do to beat V Tech is run the ball ,play solid special teams and don't make mistakes. Both these teams Qb's have 4 td's & 3 int's but Davis has 3 td's against E KEN. Neither team has a quality win, Auburn turned the ball over 5x in the G Tech game. The one key guy missing is DE Henderson for Tech but they have enough to stop NC ST. I don't think ST will get 50 yards on the ground in this game,throw in 3 or 4 sacks and the # could be -13. Tech not much better with the run , average 125 per game. This game will come down to turnovers and is hard to figure because both teams are good at it. 75 % of the money is on Ga Tech. Don't have a feel for this one yet. Have won 6 st wk day games.

Doesn't the line seem low for a ranked team at home? I'll probably take the dog (NC), as you said 75% of the money is on tech. Last week mich state was -4 (lost), Patriots were -4 (lost) and Jaguars were -4 (lost). If you are going to bet it I would suggest taking NC State or laying off. Just some thoughts. Good luck!
The line is low because these teams are very close, a little luck and NC ST could be ranked. The rankings are a BIG JOKE. The one thing that I learned in looking into the games these two and their opponents have played is. V TECH is not that good , If you capp any game and use the premise that V TECH is a very good team,your way off. V Tech is above average at this time. Thats why it's so tough, there are not to many very good teams. V TECH's opponents combined record is 11-10 with wins over : e ken / vmi / pitt / kent st / auburn / nc / syr / wofford / maryland /.

I saw this line open @ Ga Tech -7 and very quickly was moved to -4.5 for the jello jackets. I guess the books realized they weren't going to get the money on tech with that spread and the %% of people on Ga Tech could support that theory. they also both played UNC and Ga Tech could have let that game slip away as NC State obviously did. The Ga Tech win at auburn isn't as impressive as it would be if they beat them now because Auburn was adjusting to new personnel @ key positions (QB and RB).
And I do think Va Tech is the real deal and would be a better fit for USC than Texas... if they both run the table :scared
I would have liked to see Ohio state beat Texas because if they can run the table that could be a great matchup for the trojans as well

Ga tech isn't even close to as big a home field advantage as some other conference schools like florida st., clemson., va tech.
Do you trust chan gailey in a big spot and ga tech doesn;t exactly get it right when it counts either. GL to you tho.

I realize Pinny is one of the best books but something's fishy about everyone betting the under because of the weather and this other book, which I use a lot, is making that under bet that much more appealing. Just thought I'd let y'all know before everyone starts firing at the under. I liked it too but now I'll probably lay off. I'll update the line of my other book if it moves suspiciously (spelling) anymore

I would not bet against the home team here. GT has a better team and HFA. Do the math. Why take a risk on NCS to show up.

Thanks for all the info guys. I have learned that " GT is the far better team". I also have learned that VT is a great team and I'm wrong. If VT is this great team, what happened against NC ST, they beat this team 20-16 & went on to roll "the far better" GT 51-7. I know you can't use if (A) beats (B) and (B) beats, you know what I mean. Golfer 24, What makes you think VT is a great team? they have not showed it yet. They have won against 1-2 nc st/ 1-4 duke / 2-2 ohio / 3-1 gt / and 4-1 Wv, a team that will lose to rutgers sat. Those 5 teams have wins against the 10 listed above. VT has no chance as a big time contender this yr. 8 starters are gone from that "GREAT TEAM " that went down to Auburn 13-16. What makes you think this offense can play and score with the big boys.
