everything than can be said about the new years day bowl games has already been said. no sense in beating dead horses.

west virginia....just like the momentum theyre carrying into this one. very similar to oregon. both teams finished the season strong and are dogs in the same price range. mountaineers got off to a disastrous start this yr, but settled in and really outplayed everyone on their schedule from the miami game until the end of the season. the last game wvu struggled? in maryland. in-season revenger with a team that rushes the ball as well as wvu does? almost an obligatory play. gimmie a live rushing underdog anytime

michigan....would be a waste of time to post anything overly in-depth about this one. scott has gone back and forth with every possible angle and approach to this game. i think we even know the social security numbers of navarre and leinhart. in a nutshell- just think michigan is too explosive not to keep pace. navarre can pass the ball on the usc secondary. and contrary to what most think- teams who get "screwed" out of title games DONT "come out with something to prove". maybe usc is different. but history says the team who gets "screwed" sulks and comes out flat (even though youd expect the opposite). colorado comes to mind a few yrs ago. im not going to dog the trojans and say theyre overrated because thats garbage. usc is friggin good. i just feel the same way i felt in preseason. before the season started i felt michigan was one of the top 3 teams in the entire country. wolverines give a good usc team all they can handle

dont cross against the TERPS... fridge will have the terps ready, we are much superior to WVU..... our D crushes their. Our QB is better, our special teams is better and our WR are a tie.. RB are a swap too.. i see terps winning by 10.

dude ive been sayin that all along... terps are much superior... much. I went to MD and i know WV game, they arent on our level... they dont have anything better than us in terms of offense, defense, coaching and special teams... terps are better in every area....

stumbled on new years day. can deal with the michigan loss. trojans played a crisp, mistake free game and dominated. but the west virginia debacle irks me. maryland a solid team, but for rodriguez' team to show up as flat as they did was quite surprising, given what was at stake

clemson......line looks low, but tennessee has been awful in the dome lately. volunteers might outclass clemson in terms of athletes, but just feel like clemson is the way to go. the way they finished the season was impressive -- it wasnt just their florida state win that stands out. tigers had their share of clunkers, but it seemed like once they got the fsu monkey off their back, they were a different team. i know south carolina was down this year, but that was a dominating effort for clemson that should carry over. just like the direction clemson is going right now.

friday was more like it. 13-7 on the bowl season

for saturday, played georgia tech under 46.5.
been very impressed with the yellow jacket defense this year. numbers might not show it, but thats a well-coached, aggressive unit. and they outclass tulsa here. hurricane should be sky high for this one, but i dont necessarily think this game is gonna have a lot of points. their conference affiliation skews some numbers/stats. theyve had their share of high scoring games, but i cant see them getting into a shootout with tech. 23-17 georgia tech sounds about right

dont want to throw away a potentially good under 46.5 bet. but do think this 2h stays under 21.5 as well. gailey is ultra-conservative on offense. all 13 points were scored on short fields (no scoring drive for either team more than 30 yds). tulsa will likely be throwing a lot of the 2h, but as long as they dont turn it over, i think this game will stay tight enough for gailey and the jackets to play ball control and be happy with a low scoring but dominant win. threw a 1/2 unit on tech under 21.5 2h

not thrilled with making my bowl GOY the last game of the season. leaves me open for some 2nd guessing after seeing the outcomes of the bowls that preceeded this one. but this is the game that i absolutely, positively circled when the line were released. anything in single digits is extreme value in this one. we all know the personnel and the coaching and the motivation for these teams. but theres simply no way stoops fails in back to back big games. hes a big game coach and i am not convinced that lsu is the #2 team in the nation. to me, usc is the only team anywhere near oklahoma. (even though i had michigan) --> also like the fact that usc won convincingly over the wolverines because it adds more incentive for oklahoma to beat the piss outta lsu. had the trojans stumbled, sooners could have claimed the national title with any sort of victory. national title is going to be split regardless in terms of AP/BCS but people will speak of okie as the national champion is they dominate lsu. if okie "just gets by", then people will speak of usc/okie being split champs. usc did their part. now its time for okie to step up and show why theyre the bcs #1 and unequivocal national champion

Gman, I agree and think that the only way OU gets the respect of playing the impressive season they have and the national title that looked so certain before their Kst loss is to win big tomorrow. Took them on thursday at 6.5 in case the line moved out to 7 before game time and think they will most definitely show up for tomorrow's game as championship sides do.

its funny, after 1 loss (in which they did get killed) everyone discounts what Okla did all yr long, which was MAUL every opponent in their way. They made Texas look like a middle school team, T T like a pre school team and BASHED up everyone else... K St had a great game and the ball bounce their way a few times.. Ok has too good of a coach to lose. I know its dumb to bet HUGE % of yoru bankroll, but im tempted to toss everything on Okla ML. I see them winning around 24-16 area... but i hate backdoor covers, i may buy the line down to -4....

also doesnt hurt that oklahoma has allowed 14,3,and 2 points in their last 3 bowl games. anytime you give a good coach this much time to prepare, hes gonna be tough to beat. saban is certainly no bum coach -- but stoops is the premier big game coach in football at any level right now. allowing 19 pts in 3 yrs is impressive
