Many of you should have received an email to enter in the 2008 Men's Basketball Bracket Challenge via CBS Sportsline. I still have the temporary email address set up at msn - jr112007 if there is anyone else out there interested in joining. I will respond with entry information if you should contact me. I expect around 150-200 given we had that many for the Bowl Contest. Thanks to MJ for allowing me to post this invite and he has NOTHING to do with this.

Rules

1. $20/entry and multiple entries are allowed. Feel free to recruit, just make sure you communicate to me who they are so I know and don't delete them. Money order, check, or cash. No Paypal.

2. Payouts will be the top 5 spots, something like 50%-25%-12.5$-7.5%-5% of the total purse. This will be communicated to you once the first game starts on the first Thursday via email and everything is locked down.

3. We are obviously still 3 weeks away, but no $$ before we start no entry....simple as that.

4. Scoring...Each correct selection will get a point value for that round. 1st round = 1 point, 2nd round = 3 points, 3rd round = 5 points, fourth round = 7 points, 5th round or semifinals = 9 points, and championship = 15 points. Ties will be decided by a total point prediction for the final game and there is a spot to enter this. Bracket must be filled out completely.

Anyone out there that is new or interested send me an email.

It's all Ponch wannabees over there in GF, including you and Nole. Real players only visit the handicapping forums. I can pick losers with the best of them. Don't you have to go shine your putter or wash your balls or something? Kidding.

I got your email and response sent back with further instructions.

Wannabee? You should bow down to the almighty Nole. I owned you in Fantasy Football and I'll take you down in the tourney.

sorry, I wasn't here last year. Is this legit? If so, I'm in.[/QUOTE
I have been running this from MJ's, and NFL Survivor, and my favorite the NCAA Bowl Contest for about 3-4 four years now. If there were any problems I doubt people would be excited to enter in nor would anyone want me around here...don't answer that Nole. Many MJer's have placed or won, ask Taoist how fast he got paid when he won the bowl contest.

The main thing I always do is communicate everything to you the whole way. Thanks Morris. No surprises. With this contest, CBS runs the whole bracket not me and it is locked down at 11:00 EST the first Thursday. All I do is collect and pay out.

Been know to use the Ponch avatar regularly and has every season of CHiPS on DVD.

Known in Pittsburgh as Ponch Jr.

So sexy!
That's just wrong. I am still enjoying the bottle of Grey Goose from you for our side wager on the Bowl Contest. Care to doubledown on the Bracket Challenge, same bet including the Ponch avatar for 100 posts??

I'm impressed. That bottle has lasted a while.

Your Grey Goose (large bottle, of course) against my Crown Royal(1.75 Litre) is a bet.

100 posts? Not this time. You wished everyone and their Mother good luck when trying to use up your 100.

300 posts! I mean, what would Ponch do?

Please let me know.

How many people entered last year?

136 in the bracket challenge last year and about 160 or so in the bowl contest. I assume we will be closer to 200 because there are those that are recruiting friends/family members.

One last bump up for this. Slowly but surely they are coming in to watch me slaughter Nole for another Super Sized Bottle of Grey Goose. Yep!

I'm in... I have been in several of these contests both the NCAA Bowl Pool and the March Madness pool. Everything has always gone smooth and everyone has always gotten paid.

What ever happened to that "Championship Hat"??? Boxand1 sent it to me and I attached a small pin for the first couple of winners... I think it was myself and Blackman.... Then I sent it on to the winner of the 3rd year.... Anyone remember who that was and where the Army hat currently resides???

Thanks Taoist....and I agree that we should create an award for who wins the contest, especially if it is a member of MJ's. Don't worry Nole, you will never see it.

Ronnie/Ineed$ email was just sent out to you both.
