buffalo:

jack prefers to not have services outside of fletcher advertise and i respect his decision. consequently, i cant say any more on it. theres a link at betroyal and a logical search engine query can do the job. but id prefer that this thread focus on the games themselves. thanks.

What a finish for NIU. Only thing different I would have done on the 2 pt play would be to have put it in Wolfe's hands. The kid had a hell of a game. Nice cover but I wanted the Huskies to get the outright win.

i was just saying the exact same thing (about wolfe). youve got a kid who rushed for almost 300 yards and they call a play that doesnt feature him from the 2.5 yard line? you gotta take a baseball closer's mentality -- if youre gonna get beat, get beat with your best pitch (or, in this case, your best player). then again, it assured the cover. and for that, joe novak is brilliant :)

gradkowski with 157 yds passing in the 1st quarter for toledo. need the rockets to keep their foot on the gas.

I love Gradkowski. Looks like he's heating up fine in the 1st half

17/21 for 222 yards and 2 touchdowns.... in just over a quarter? yeah- he can play a little bit.

cubit finally found his rhythm on the final few drives of the 1st half and western moved the ball a little bit. amstutz has never been a coach to let up. and really, wmu hasnt had any clue how to stop gradkowski. toledo might not cover a 2h number, but it will take a huge effort from wmu in the 2h to get back and cover the game. normally, im objective enough to buy some back if i have any 2nd thoughts at halftime. but toledo had 338 yards of total offense in the 1h. at very worst, they trade scores in the 2h. but get the feeling were looking at 56-20 kind of final.

i agree 100%. when i saw they were going for 2, i loved it. when i saw wolfe wasn't even on the field, i knew they were in trouble. well, i guess a cover is a cover. i didn't like their chances of stopping NW from the 25 in OT.

i've said it before, and i'll say it again... LONG LIVE THE MAC!!

my bad, 56-23. :) whats amazing is that toledo damn near matched their offensive output from last years wmu game. they rang up 649 yds last year... and (gasp) 612 tonight.

thanks SA, EMJ- glad you guys hit.

G- Hit a three-team pleaser (my first shot at one) with Toledo -28 as my close-out game. Helps ease the pain caused my OSU loss. Thanks for the info.
