I have liked most of your KOD specials, but backing NE as road chalk when they're 8-0 ATS and going into a LOUD dome... Best of Luck, but I'll take Indy and the points. We could both win which is nice.

Peyton - Once upon a time on Nov 4, 2007 there was a football game played at our stadium.

Tommy - What happened then Peyton ?

Peyton - Well everything was going along fine, our defense was playing well, and I was getting first downs.

Tommy - Then what happened?

Peyton - Then this rat bastid named of Tom Brady threw 4 touchdowns and scorched us. They beat us by two touchdowns.

Tommy - whats a rat bastid Peyton ?

Peyton - thats anyone from New England
including this guy named of shamrock.

Tommy - Guess your team sucked on that day
huh Peyton.

Peyton - Yeh we tanked like a mofo. Guys named of Agent and Rolltide were said to have gone into deep Colt depression. They cried for three days. They took that loss hard. They couldnt eat, sleep , or take a good dump.

Its a big responsibilty to win kids.

I've told this story before. You know that great advice Dad gave me about being in charge of the huddle? My freshman year in college, the pre-college football pep talk he gave me was, if you get in the huddle at any time this season, I don't care how old you are, you're the quarterback, you're the leader, you can take control -- I don't care if you're 18 years old. You've got to be a leader as a quarterback. So the first game of the season at UCLA, playing in the Rose Bowl -- Keith Jackson, Bob Griese -- I'm just looking forward to watching the game ... anyway, seventh play of the season, the star quarterback goes down, so they put in Todd Helton. Todd Helton is a baseball player who knows baseball is his future and he's not playing very well. They pull him, so all of a sudden Tom says, tell Peyton to come in.

And I don't think I'm nervous, but all the hair on my arms is just sticking straight up. So anyway, it's time for me to jog in. We're getting beat 21-0, I think, so the team's kind of down. Anyway, I'm jogging in and right then I remember old dad's pep talk. So I get in there and say: All right, guys, I know I'm just a freshman, but I can take you down the field right now and lead you to a touchdown. And I'm fired up. And this left tackle, Jason Layman, grabs me by the shoulders and says, Peyton Freshman, shut the f--- up and call the f---ing play. No lie. I said, yes sir, and called the play -- and I didn't say another word the whole season.

thats pretty funny and so true.

" Manning matured as a pocket passer, and I greatly respect him as a leader.

However, I still question his nerves in big games.

For his career, he's thrown 18 TDs and 15 INTs in 13 playoff games. During Indy's Super Bowl run, Manning tossed three TDs and seven picks.

In playoff games against New England and Belichick, Manning has two TDs and six INTs.

Sunday's contest will feel like the playoffs. It will be very interesting to see how Manning handles the pressure."

INDIANAPOLIS (AP) -- The Indianapolis Colts practiced again without eight-time Pro Bowl receiver Marvin Harrison on Thursday and may not have him against New England on Sunday.

Harrison, the Colts' career receiving leader, sat out for the second straight day with a bruised left knee that has already forced him to miss two of the last three games.

"If he doesn't practice today, I'd say it's doubtful he'll play Sunday," coach Tony Dungy said before the Colts' workout. "I know he's looking forward to it, and we're looking forward to it."

Dungy had said Wednesday he expected Harrison to be back on the field Thursday. That didn't happen, and he wasn't the only starter missing.

Three starters from the Colts' line also were restricted in practice Thursday.

Starting tackle Tony Ugoh (neck) sat out, while right tackle Ryan Diem and left guard Ryan Lilja both had limited participation.

:00hour :00hour

Not that I want to see anyone hurt but I really do hope that Harrison cannot play Sunday, from a wagering point of view.

And if Harrison does play in the game, he will be one chop block from a slow ride on a landscaping cart, disappearing under the tunnel, soaking in the whirlpool in the locker room, watching the rest of
the game on TV, and rooting for the losing side.:SIB

Spread is up to New Eng - 5 1/2

MoneyLine is holding at -225

Indy is +185 :scared

Thats seems like alot of money to offer
for a Indy win.

Does Indy really have a chance to win this game in the books way of looking at things ?

It seems simple enough.

No bash. No real opinion on the game (other than I think Indi are big value to win the AFC :scared )...but...

...No. 1. pass D? Indi. In both yards per game and y/pass. (NE 5th and 6th respectively)
Run D? NE 4.2 y/rush. Indi 4.1...

Ouch! Looks like there's more than one way to interpret a statistic ;)

EDIT: IN fact, Indi...ahem...Have the 4th ranked defense......

I am honored to have Madjack for the first time ever in one of my threads, make a statistical contribution.

Even though he looks to be on the wrong side.

thanks big guy.

Now if I could just get IE to come in here with data showing NE in a positive light, it would offset any bad karma from Jack's analysis.

PS - Hey Jack , would you like to make a avatar bet for say 30 days? I got a good one in mind for you to wear if you were to lose.

I am hoping NE gets a few roughing the passer penalties.

That will mean Peyton will put his happy shoes on to go along with his happy feet.

For NE to win this game, they have got to sack Manning and keep pressure on him. Manning hates that .

I dont think noise will be a issue for Brady and Company, winning as many Super Bowls as they have.

Thanks for not bashing me for the first time in your life.

Indy has not faced receivers like NE has. Combine that with Brady's ability to fire it into the seams and Indy will have a long long afternoon.

If my math is correct , 3 thrd rank total defense , is in front of 4th ranked defense.
