YTD - NFL ...4-0 ... +$ 1,928.00

YTD - College 13-14... -$2,905.00

..............................................................

OK I have waited patiently for the second half of the NFL and college seasons, conserving my payroll
accordingly.

Now is the time to step it up a notch.

Now is the time to slam it the fawk down.

Now is the time for NE to continue dominating.

It seems simple enough.

Tom Brady is on pace to throw for 60 touchdowns, which would break the single-season record of 49, set by Manning in 2004. :scared

That year, the Colts won games by scores of
49-14, 41-10, 41-9, 51-24, and 49-24 against Denver in the playoffs. We didn?t hear a whole lot about them running up the score three years ago.

And if we get into Colts president Bill Polian ? who openly advocated for his players to break Doug Flutie?s legs (during Indy?s 2005 win in Foxboro) and physically intimidating a Jets employee ? we?d be here even longer.

* = AFC championship game

** = AFC divisional playoffs

...............................................................

If you look closely you see that the Colts have beaten NE the last 3 years.

We should know that does not sit well with NE.

Not with this team.

I believe that the Colts will have a very good chance of winning the Super Bowl. But not winning this game. They will be overpowered.

Based on current data, AccuScore shows the Patriots with the edge, winning 62 percent of AccuScore simulations by an average score of 31-27. In the baseline simulation averages, Brady throws for a shade over 300 yards and three touchdowns while Manning comes in just under 300 yards and two touchdowns.

However, if this game were played in New England, the Patriots would roll, winning 77 percent of game simulations and by an average margin of 10 points.

...............................................................

Notice the average score of 31-27 does not cover the -5 being offered by most books. :SIB

In 2004, Bill Belichick picked up much-maligned RB Corey Dillon, who caused turmoil in the Bengals' locker room. Thanks to the team-first mentality of the Patriots, Dillon had his best season as a pro, rushing for more than 1,600 yards and earning a Super Bowl ring.

Now it appears Belichick has done the same with Moss, who is on pace to have his best season ever. Clearly, there is something in the water in New England that turns selfish players into good teammates.

Certainly, Moss' stats make his value plain as day, but what isn't in the stat sheet is how much value he adds to other receivers on his team. Moss is almost always the target of double coverage, thus freeing up other receivers in single coverage.

No team did more to improve in the offseason than New England, with key acquisitions such as Moss, LB Adalius Thomas and WR Donte' Stallworth.

Why would you lay the heavy chalk on a moneyline play in this situation? I know NE is sweet and everything, but they are going on the road against the only team that is in their class, and a team that is listening and reading everywhere that NE is going to kick the piss out of them. If I were betting the game, which I am not because this is not a great game to bet, I would take the Pats minus the points, but I can easily see Colts pulling the upset.

Well you know what they say in Kansas.

Chalk talk jayhawk .

I prefer to take risk out of the equation.

This game could be close but I believe that NE will prevail.

The way I see it, is if the game is not close then NE will pull away and beat Indy by 20 points.

Indy may very well just relax in this game and wait for the AFC championship game to do their best work.

We're probably going to see New England twice, anyway," Colts defensive end Dwight Freeney said.

Second time, of course, would be the AFC title game
:SIB

The better team right now at this time is NE.

I like my chances here with NE and Brady. After the last three games losing to Indy , NE is due
to open up a can of whip ass.

Sorry Agent your Colts are going down like a clown.

As always, there was also a minor schematic wrinkle in the base 3-4 alignment.

The wrinkle, not that it was truly needed, came with cornerback Randall Gay substituting for safety James Sanders when the Redskins put three receivers on the field. Gay would often roam the back end of the defense as a safety, the idea being to add more cover skills to the mix, especially with one of the team's best cover safeties, Eugene Wilson, missing the game with an ankle injury.

"Each and every week, there is a different wrinkle, you never know what you're going to see," safety Rodney Harrison said. "You might see five corners, you might see three safeties, you might see eight defensive linemen. You never know with these guys. Bill [Belichick] has us so confused at times by what we're going to do, but at the end of the day, it's working."

The intrigue this week will be what the Patriots cook up for a Colts' offense that - while not at lethal as the Patriots' this year - is still one of best in the NFL.

The Patriots' defense did not want to enter Indianapolis coming off performances like it had put together in the two games leading into yesterday - wins over the Cowboys (48-27) and Dolphins (49-28). Harrison went as far as to say the defense was humbled by a poor second half against the Dolphins, so holding the Redskins to 177 passing yards and 47 rushing yards builds momentum into next week's showdown.

The only blemish was losing the shutout.

Peyton - Once upon a time on Nov 4, 2007 there was a football game played at our stadium.

Tommy - What happened then Peyton ?

Peyton - Well everything was going along fine, our defense was playing well, and I was getting first downs.

Tommy - Then what happened?

Peyton - Then this rat bastid named of Tom Brady threw 4 touchdowns and scorched us. They beat us by two touchdowns.

Tommy - whats a rat bastid Peyton ?

Peyton - thats anyone from New England
including this guy named of shamrock.

Tommy - Guess your team sucked on that day
huh Peyton.

Peyton - Yeh we tanked like a mofo. Guys named of Agent and Rolltide were said to have gone into deep Colt depression. They cried for three days. They took that loss hard. They couldnt eat, sleep , or take a good dump.

Its a big responsibilty to win kids.

The coolest thing about laying -225 for me is that you really don't have to explain the reasoning. Well . . . I guess I shouldn't use the term "you", it should probably be the term "one" . . . as in "one" doesn't have to explain the reasoning.

Bobby

One thing I always look forward to in your posts is the subtle way you say one thing but mean another. Sometimes I have to think real hard to figure it out. Please stop doing it. I dont like thinking much.

I remember one superbowl thread where you posted pictures telling a story.

One didnt have to explain that winning wager reasoning either, now did one.:SIB

A great game to bet is one where you cash a winning ticket.

I think fletcher told me that one.
