I have a Honda Accord. The SRS light is on(airbag). My airbag is 100% fine, but the car will not pass inspection without getting the light cut off. So the place I was getting the inspection done said he did not know how to do it. So i called like 10 places and finally the last place I called said I had to take to the honda dealership and they had to "un-code" it. Well i called there and made an appointment, as they said they could do it for $75. So i took it there today, and after waiting an hour the lady comes in and says it wont trigger a code and wont clear ... my work form says the following:
NO CODES BEING TRIPPED, CANNOT CLEAR LIGHT, POSSIBLE SRS CONTROL UNIT-TO START
PN#06772sv430
The last thing is a part for a new air bag system, which they wanna charge me $1100 total to install. I hate being cheap but $1100 for something thats not even broken is not my style. chit just does not make any sense to me.
Anybody know anything about cars? I have a buddy that works on them that I am suppose to hear from tomorrow, but does anybody know if there is a way to go into the dashboard and just cut the fuse on the light? has to be a way around getting an new air bag system when its not even fricking broken.
thanks
