I think all of us can benefit from this thread. Just looking for some good Valentines suggestions, gifts, etc. My wife and I got married last May, so this will be our first Valentines as a married couple and I want it to be special for her. Flowers and dinner seem a bit generic, so I want to do something extra nice without spending too much money. Anyone got any ideas? TIA

I'm not going to lie... jewelry is nice. But.... nothing is nicer than an unexpected declaration. Write a letter on some nice paper... list the reasons why you married her and how you feel about her now... if you're not good with words, find your wedding song or any love song you share, have it framed and look her straight in the eye and recite the words to her.

Granted, you'll have to buy a box of kleenex for the crying that will follow, but you will be rewarded later on that night.
