need some help from you guys

recently i started 'trying' to cap hockey. probably beginners luck and have done pretty good, just not good enough to post them yet especially since most plays were stolen from you guys anyway

let me know your feelings about these plays i have circled for today. thanks in advance.

ottawa +.5 +100
la pk +115
wash over 5.5 -105
buf over 5 -140 (kinda steep? or, should i take over 5.5 +105?)
min over 5 -120

any thoughts, pro or con, about these?

MJ,

Really like your L.A. pick, they have been played very well and have the best PP on the road in the NHL. I saw them play Ott. on Thursday and they seem to be playing the way they ended last season. 7-2-2 over last 11. As for Ott. +.5, NJ is a hard team to figure but but the Sens are always solid value on the road. One thing is for sure I will playing the over in tomorrows OTT/NYR. Hurme is in nets today for the Sens something to keep in mind. I have yet to look at the totals for todays games so I will get back to you later on those.

NJ is 7-1-1 last nine against Ott. 3-0 this season so far. So you think Sens would put up a big one tonight. One silly pattern is Ott has been alternating between wins and losses (one tie) last 11, now is time for win or tie.

Boy, everyone seems to be on LA. They were at +1/2 +105 last night, now +1/2 -140. 130 at some books.

LA 1-7-1 last 9 in Montreal. Theodore in net tonight, he's 3-0-1 last four. But LA is playing so well.

Hi Jack,

Well I see you hit one already. Out of those picks you selected there I would probably look at Tor/Buf OVER 5 -140. I can see both teams playing a wide open game if yesterday's game dictates anything.

Myself tonight, not liking anything really big except the Car OVER 4.5 with my local, but I didn't see any books with that luine, only a 5. Tonights card doesn't really look that juicy is what I am trying to say.

Dear MJ:

I'm only liking the L.A. play so far. Not that I have a problem with the rest of your picks because I don't. I just didn't see enough to quibble about with the posted lines to inspire me to action.

I'm going with L.A. for some very child-like reasons, It's Montreal's 3rd in 4 days, and while the Kings have been on the road for awhile, they are finally having a fun trip this year and with the Allison trade finally beginning to pay dividends, the team is feeling pretty good about itself. Montreal on the other hand doesn't have any of this going for it that I can see and this is their first game back from a short road trip. Montreal has played 4 of their last 5 on the road and that just doesn't help them tonight.
