Didn't expect this, get well IE and rest. Rest until you are tired of resting, then rest some more. Wishing you the best.

Just talked to IE's sister. He's been waiting for a bed/room since yesterday and not sure when he's getting one. He'll definitely be there for the whole weekend and they will be keeping him longer this time before sending him home making sure things are right.

That's some healthcare system they have there in Canada. Can't even get a fuking bed?

You get what you pay for, I guess.

Stay strong, Greg.

Damn, NO BED  Wish you Well IE :0074

any updates

I'm in the slow class, what does that mean he has no room? Where is he? Is he home? Still in the waiting room? Triage area?

What happens when an emergency comes in and the "have no rooms"?

Kicserv, explain this shit.

Get well soon, Mr. Investment Executive!

One of the classiest individuals I have ever met on the Internet. Love and prayers from the distant past.

Like, moo.

yeah kick please do.......

Sentara PA stays full and I have had to wait for a room twice..never longer than 24 hours ..and both times they fixed me up w/a temp. bed in a room by the admit off.

can't imagine going much longer but could see it happening...they are adding on to the hospital now.

No room for 24 hours isn?t unheard of, but it?s awful. The max amount of time I ever saw held in an ED was 45 hours. I think it?s some major bs that he doesn?t have a room yet. How can that be possible? Others have to be getting a room before him; shouldn?t it be by turn? That?s crazy!!

When hospitals get full, some defer/close their ED and divert elsewhere. Some never defer, and if the patients keep piling in, they literally start putting them anywhere they can. For example, they can open up areas like PACU (pre op/post op) for ICU patients and outpatient areas for others. They almost literally will put people in any space big enough to hold a bed. This leads to poor care because of no supplies, unfamiliar work areas for staff, shortage of staff of course, and an overall lack of and delay in care. I sure hope he at least got a real bed and hasn?t been on a stretcher this whole time.
