Back to the topic...when I was a kid I had a terrible neighbour, old lady who made our lives (my parents, brother and myself) hell. She was so nasty, just a terrible human being. I still remember when I was like 7 years old and she was yelling at me when I was standing on my driveway. My Dad came outside and told to to fuck off, first time I ever heard my dad swear, it was awesome
She finally died when I was 14 years old, the entire neighbourhood celebrated

We are very nervous about what will happen when our next door neighbors finally decide to downsize. They've been empty-nesters for a couple years now. You couldn't ask for better neighbors.
And across the street... well, I got drunk with my neighbor over there last night. Good times.
I have lucked out as well....with the exception of age 6 to 14 being next to a horrid women (she once spit on me when I was 8 years old, and I never told my parents because I was afraid my mom would literally kill her if she found out) I have had great neighbours.
Note: After she died I did tell my mom she spit on me, my mom said "you were right, I would have killed her". So yep, I made the correct decision
