gotta wonder why forward progress is usually not called? that alone would stop the ripping/punching problem!!

There needs to be a new 15 yd penalty in the NFL and that if for intentionally ripping at the ball trying to force a fumble.

Thank you for your attempt at humor. :142smilie

You made my evening!

I predict that something will be done with intentional ripping.

When Vegas lines are affected in this manner and the betting turns to luck of the intentional ripping.

Too much money at stake to allow this to continue as it is.

The the owners will be forced to look at it.

PS - I am going to write a letter to the NFL and
let them know as a gambler , this has to be looked at.

The very first thing you're taught growing up playing football is how to effectively hold onto the ball.

There should be no rule against someone attempting to force a fumble. It's ridiculous to think otherwise.

If such a penalty were implemented, the NFL would be a joke. That would be a reward to shitty players who can't hold a football. A ball carrier should never be rewarded for crying when he fails to complete his only task at hand and that is CARRYing the football.

This reeks of a gambler that got it handed to them once again. Shitty year and now you gotta cry like an incessant little bitch about something that players are supposed to do? really?
This coming from someone who run's his sewer way too much in the first place. Just stop it already and take it like a man, you really come off like a :s7: :s4:

Surely this is just a joke or a post to get a rise out of people.

From day one in football I learned "high and tight."

As did I.
Defensive players have ALWAYS tried to separate ball carriers arms from their bodies. Holding it high and tight and maintaining it makes it nearly impossible to rip out. When a ball carrier "loosens up", he is vulnerable to coughing it up.

Maybe they need to put straps on the football.

I lost 10% of my bankroll for the entire college and NFL season, and am quite happy . At least I know when to take a break.

you make me laugh you're such a stupid ass.

I think its a legitimate concern. Its my opinion and I dont give a chit what you think.

I was not on the Saints and 49s game. That was a classic game to show how intentional ripping has gotten out of hand. It affected the outcome of the game. It takes good running and receiving out of the equation, and puts in how strong you can hold on to the football. Thats a joke right there. .

and just to emphasize if you think back 3 years ago there was never the intentional ripping like we see in the NFL this season.

oh and one more thing ghost boy

fuck you pussychops.

I played QB so I know all about holding the ball.

I remember this one time I was tackled under a huge pile of fat sweaty lineman who refused to get up for a few minutes.

So this one player brings his hand down and attempts to pull the ball out of my hands.

Just so happened his hand got too close to my head and I bit his finger off at the first joint. I heard him screaming in pain and I just held the finger in my mouth like a prize trophy.

When the pile broke up he went screaming to the bench holding his hand and pointing at me.

I got up and screamed at him.......

I agree, dumbest thread ever. I really just wanted to say that I don't like when ball carriers are held up and they don't blow the whistle, while others tear it away. There's only so much a runner can do in that situation. For every 9 times he keeps it, that 10th will be taken away.

Basically I just hate it when the play is over but it keeps going and shit happens. The Bradshaw thing was the right call but inconsistent with what usually happens the last several years.

I think I also put "this is ridiculous" in my first reply, but I also think I'm guilty of keeping this inane thread going. lol. My deepest apologies ROFL!!!
