I agree, dumbest thread ever. I really just wanted to say that I don't like when ball carriers are held up and they don't blow the whistle, while others tear it away. There's only so much a runner can do in that situation. For every 9 times he keeps it, that 10th will be taken away.

Basically I just hate it when the play is over but it keeps going and shit happens. The Bradshaw thing was the right call but inconsistent with what usually happens the last several years.

I think I also put "this is ridiculous" in my first reply, but I also think I'm guilty of keeping this inane thread going. lol. My deepest apologies ROFL!!!

Changed that game momentum enough so that Green Bay never looked back.

I won that wager but it gave me a kinda sick feeling in the pit of my stomach.

Since we are nitpicking in this thread, let me add my
2 canadian cents worth.

What annoys the fuck out of me is when a player with the ball is tackled off of his feet but just happens to be on top of another player he is deemed
not to be down....BULLSHIT RULE, he is off his fucking feet...play is over!!!!

Why should he be given a get out of jail card? did he
accomplish something through a talented football move or just some luck sack circumstance?

To me ripping the football should be the least of their concerns. I mean when will you have refs throw the flag? When the defender is grabbing at the arm. It's another dumb judgement call the ref has to make. Look at roughing the passer sometimes they call it and then they don't. Then the top Qbs get the breaks. ie Aaron Rodgers and Peyton Manning. I also do not like when people can strip a player when forward progress is stopped but I can live with it..

To me what is killing pro football is the pass interference rule and the rules that makes pass defense almost impossible unless you have and outstanding pass rush. Look at the QB numbers and new QB numbers, it's a joke. The NFL has essentially made running the football a lost art.

A rule will never be put in place to make it a penalty to strip the ball. I have just been watching games lately. Dont even think I will bet on the Superbowl for the first time after posting 6 straight Superbowl wins.
