the newest features are:

live lines from pinnacle. when pinnacle's lines change, our lines change right along with them. we also keep a record of all the line moves so you can track the movement as soon as the games are posted until they kick-off.

we grade you on the line you bet, not the closing line.

features coming soon:

-multiple sportsbooks live lines so players can shop a line before betting.

-live scores in real time. the only scoreboard you'll need.

-consensus players so you can track the public plays. a 60% player, a 70% player and an 80% player. so you can see how the public fairs on lopsided action.

Jack, did the "to win" aspect change? It was set up so that on a -160 line, for instance, you were only risking 100, as opposed to risking 160 to win 100. Did that change? Also, are puck lines in NHL on the horizon by any chance?

The ideas sound great. One problem that I think you might run into is people complaining about speed. When you give people limitless ways to search a database, especially one as large as bestbettor's, it will take a little while for the results to be processed. Most people do not understand this and will report that the site is moving slowly.

You may want to look into limiting people's seach functions. Or coming up with a way to archive some records after a certain time limit. For example, after a full year has passed someone would be able to pull records for individuals, but if the lists were already compiled, there would be much less searching to do. If someone wanted to dig deeper they could, but they would have to understand the speed is going to be slower.

Other than that thought, you guys are really on the right track!

junkie, puck lines are on the horizon and we still are using 'risk' for the betting.

a different type of database will be used to speed things up. that's programmer stuff that i don't understand but they are aware of your suggestion, dawgball.

I don't like the spread/total being on different screens.

I don't like the fact that you can't "re-bet" on a wager you already made. Tonight, i made a $100 wager on a bet. The line improved, and I wanted to risk more, but could not.

I like the re-bet feature limiting your play to only one. The consensus at wagerline gets messed up when the odds move because your allowed to pick at any different movement. In evaluating a consensus, I would rather only have one pick per person.

I have to say the new look is very nice and well layed out. I agree with YYZ is there any way to get totals and sides on the same page? Other than that I like it . ALso for the pay service section is there a chance to get a conformation screen before the plays go into the system?

If you are graded on the line you bet on and the line changes and you want to play the game again you should be able to do so. The game becomes locked once you make the play and you cannot play it again at the changed line:shrug:
