Not to appear judgemental on any boycott. Everyone has their freedom to chose or not, but isn't NEW ERA one of the few AMERICAN MADE hat companies left? or have they also gone overseas? I know I quit wearing Converse Chuck Taylor shoes :nono: when NIKE :thefinger bought them. Won't stop them from making money, but I feel better. LOL

Reminds me of what I read of the Chick Fil-A owner as she would never think to open one up in Vegas because gambling is a sin and las vegas is sinful and also why they are all closed on Sundays even though u would think that would be the best day for business.

A company has a moral backing, and you don't like it? You may or may not agree with their religious views, but I find it refreshing that a very successful business has proven you don't have to sacrifice your beliefs to achieve success.

But I sure do wish they would open on Sundays! :)

Yep. That thing gets a lot of use at my house. It is in heavy rotation.

Every day at the office for me!

I must have mis-read this part of your post:

but mixing up your religous value or whatever values with business values is bad business to me.

My apologies.

My apologies.

I almost took a job w/ Truett Cathy several years ago. I have to tell you the "compound" is amazing and they take care of their employees. Most were from a big university with a banner in their office and married. I was about 24 and was not interested in being a dime a dozen kind of guy.

Religion comes first, then business values. He has helped countless individuals. A very respected man. A man set in his beliefs as a servant of God. That's respectable to follow that strictly to your beliefs.

I sometimes wish I would have taken the job.
