? CANADA NOT WILLING: During a session of Canada's Parliament on Monday, Prime Minister Jean Chretien said, "If military action [in Iraq] is launched without a new [U.N.] resolution, Canada will not participate. We will hope there will be no war. I'm not very optimistic." Canada has about 30 armed forces personnel serving with U.S. and British contingents in the Persian Gulf and has contributed two warships to a naval force stationed in the Arabian Sea and Persian Gulf. Chretien did not respond when asked whether the forces in the gulf region would be withdrawn, Reuters reported

I heard that they would like to participate in the rebuilding after the war. I guess they will have to wait in line behind the others. Maybe they should take a number & wait until we call out their name.

Sorry fellas....that phuck Chretien needs an ass whipping!!!!

No one wants this to come to war, but if the U.S. insists on this being the only manner to resolve this situation, that cockroach Chretien should fully support the Brits, U.S. and rest of the allies.

I think Bush said it best a couple weeks back when he said that Saddam has had 12 years to disarm....why give the mofo more time?

Canada will pay the price of non-support as the French will...Remember this....Sir Winston Churchill said before leaving office after WW11 to the English Parliament "NEVER SEPARATE YOUSELF FROM AMERICA"...wise words then and wise words now. Canada is now classified as a another weasel...and as American i'll not forget and forgive.

S Love you forgot the part where after Jean made his statement. The Parliament stood and gave him a standing ovation. Not to worry the French will join us to help form a government in Iraq. You wait and see we will let them back in the middle of this. And if we do I say fire Bush next election.

Happy to see the real face of some of you guys; spitting on Canadian the first chance you have.

That's a shame.

Joe De: America is a continent made from Canada, USA and Mexico. Churchill probably made this declaration in canada where was held, in Quebec city, a key meeting before canadians open the door to the usa people liberatING europe on the beaches of Normandie

spits:"that cockroach Chretien should fully support the Brits, U.S. and rest of the allies" Did you really had to say cockroach?????

acehistr8: it's not the first time i've seen you make fun of canada, any specific reason?

Senor Capper: Why is that?

It's sad to read such comments.

My fathers family immigrated from France to Montreal around the turn of the century, so my poking fun comes at my own expense in that regard. I still have relatives in Montreal and in Quebec and of course when I say "Canada" I dont mean every last citizen, I mean your elected government officials.

However in all seriousness, does Canada really feel the need to pass a resolution that they wont support us with their 30 troops and two ships? And in the bizarro world where such a thing ever happened, and Canada was ever attacked, who do you think they would coming running to? you're god damn right its the United States. We have to be there when everyone else wants our help and support (IE - Normandy) but come time we need help, suddenly its chic to hate the US and convenient to forget the times in the past when we have liberated others from the throes of terror or defended their country from impending occupation. We were attacked and close to four thousand of our citizens killed, god forbid our "friends" to the North lift a finger to help out. How can Canada have the gaul to demand better trade with the US, yet at the same time give us the proverbial finger when we are going to war? I mean, I cant even use the phrase "when we are in need" because frankly, we dont need shit from Canada or any other country. We have the best warships, best aircraft, best bombs, best trained troops and best military leaders in the world. Is a little verbal support too much to ask?

So to Canada, France, Germany and the like. God forbid anything happens in your country. God forbid four thousand of your citizens are killed in a terrorist act, or a lunatic dictator threatens you with weapons of mass destruction. I hope your military might is enough to handle it because as far as I'm concerned, you can take your call for help and shove it up your ass.

i'm sorry frogy, but i gotta agree with SPITS on this one:

I think Bush said it best a couple weeks back when he said that Saddam has had 12 years to disarm....why give the mofo more time?

there WILL be no peaceful resolution to this mess...and I AM embarrased that Chretien is not willing to help the U.S against Saddam.

The fawking U.N is an antiquated group of fawk - heads who sit on their hands and asses and observe and do nothing.
I could give you about 10 major reasons why the U.N sucks over the last 50 years.....

but what surprises me is why the U.N won't back the U.S against iraq?

"U.S. taxpayers pay 25% of the UN budget plus 31% of the UN special-agency budgets."

kinda like biting the hand that feeds you.....???
__________________________________________

we can discuss all the angles about NOT goin to war, peaceful resolutions and about ulterior motives by the U.S as to WHY they want to go to war with Iraq, but you know what :

It's time to end this chapter of saddam once and for all.

exile my ass, I think he's too proud to do that.

hopefully they'll be a coup of some kind by his higher officials and they'll nail his ass out of the way without anything drastic happening.

but then again, i should have retired from gambling with my millions by now.

oh yes, and gentlemen don't bad mouth a country just because of the policy of ONE political party.

Yes, he's our elected leader, but it doesn't mean ALL of us agree with his policies.

Well why the hell not? The rest of the world badmouths the US, in fact its practically an international sport now with France leading the way. And thats because of one political party, so I certainly have no problem doing it in return.

You might be right, it's not for me to judge but please let's not get into a form of racist becose of what your country is doing and reaction from leaders of the world.
It's so easy to generalise.

LOL, not to get too isolationist...

Frogy, if you really think that Saddam is just the problem of the United States, and you think its OK to let violent dictators develop and posess weapons of mass destruction, to not only do that but to use said weapons on their own citizens and threaten to use them on their neighbours - then I feel sorry for you. I mean, how did you feel about say, the Holocaust? Was that just "Germany's problem?"

Let me ask you and your fellow citizens this, on September 11th if if Al Queda had crashed a 747 into the CN Tower in Toronto, how would you feel? If 4,000 Canadians had died, you would be screaming for blood. You would be banging on our door, on NATO's door, on the UN's door DEMANDING a response against countries supporting and harboring terrorists and their weapons suppliers such as Iraq. You would be talking about how neighbours should support each other and how we should fight alongside our neighbours in the defense of freedom.

Then, if the US essentially told you to go fawk yourself (which is what your PM has done) you wouldnt shut up about it - as I am refusing to shut up now.

To sit back and say, "Oh well, you know what, Saddam yeah his possessing VX and Anthrax and nukes, thats really just the United States' problem." is well, pretty fawking sad.
