i have a Q for you (personal), do you really only play 1 or 2 games per week? i'll post 3-4 plays but still play another 4-5 halftimes. can't help myself, it does affect my results negatively. so i was thinking of only playing same amounts on every game. hate when i win my small stuff and lose the big play.
just wanted your seasoned reasoning...

Watch out for the hawaii play if anyone does plan on picking it. Michigan State is looking for some payback as they lost the game in Hawaii last year, partly due to the refs in Hawaii juicing the game. Yes those penalties were legit, but had that game been in Michigan things might have gone the other way. Politics also may have been involved in that game being that there would be no one going to the Hawaii bowl if hawaii did not win that game and could not recive a bid to it.
Like I said about the USC game on how every good cappe in Hawaiir was on USC for last week's game, I have a feeling that every good capper is going to pick Michigan State Next week as well. As for me I'm gonna stay away from the side as Hawaii usually sucks on the road but 32.5 points is alot to get. Rather look at playing the over for that game.

I'll ride with Scott on the ND game. I'll take ND and the seven this week or any week against big blue. Michigan always struggles against teams with complicated offenses. N.ILL had a west coast offense and gave Michigan hell.

Takin ND +7!!

I am assuming this question was to me. The answer is it depends. If I am not going to a game, I will play a little bit on a lot of the games just because I am watching. Just for grins. There is usually another game or two I will bet hard but I figure on here I dont want folks following on something that isnt my expertise. My big 12 will by far make or break the week. If I feel strongly enough I post those plays on will sometimes post non-Big 12 opinions, but I dont think anyone here gives a rat's ass about those. Heck, based on the posts I saw, not too many listened on Clemson either.

I sorta knew about MSU/Hawaii stuff but thanks for bringing it up. If there were any BS REF calls I believe it. USC suffered BS ref calls and let me tell you, those Hawaii players play dirty. Real dirty. I hope USC doesn't play Hawaii anytime soon. But Hawaii did impress me against USC. They have a good enough defense and offense to cover the large #. Remember, Hawaii plays an unconventional offense. Hard to prepare for and stop. They do 2 step drops and timing patterns. Very "quick" team. Will give any defense trouble. The one thing that does worry me is USC really beat up Hawaii physically. USC hit them hard especially their QB. That will hurt Hawaii against MSU.

ND +7 jumped out at me because of 2 things. #1 ND looked real good against Pitt although I did not get to watch very much of it. #2 ND/Michigan is a rivalry game. 7pts is a $hit load of pts to give up in a rivalry game. ND upset Michigan last year and they seem to have their # or always play them tough. I see a close game. ND has a lot of confidence now with Weis and confidence is huge. I have not capped Michigan so it is a no play as of now. I don't think the line will move so I will wait. I usually only make wagers on games I think the line moves. I have UAB and Iowa so far as plays.

johnnyb. I like ASU +8 @LSU. If it is at a neutral place, I gotta like them more. ASU is the type of team who can beat anybody and lose to anybody. You never know what you are getting. Def. not a team to bet big on. I learned my lesson 2 years ago when i took them big over Iowa and lost. Remember what OSU did to LSU @LSU. 8pts might be too many. This might be a play.

I am also taking a hard look at Vandy over Arkansas. Too many pts especially with USC on deck for Arkansas. Everyone wants a piece of the #1 team in the country. How can they not be looking ahead to playing USC and coming to CA!!!! If Arky gets ahead, they prob. go real vanilla to now show Pete Carroll anything with USC having a BYE. If Arky upsets USC, they get national media and blue chip recruits! Big game for them.

Hawaii lost 2 of there 4 captains on Sat loss due to knee injurys. Leanord Peters who is the fastest player and free safty and Jason Ferguson who is the slotback and retruner. This confirms my game of the year even more. I will post a seperate trend to exlpain my thoughts. Waitng for this game since last year.

Thanks Scott. I really think this line is under valued due to ND's dominant play against Pitsburgh and Michigan not covering against N. Illinois. To tell you the truth, I hate the wolverines with a passion (My Alma Mater is The Ohio State University) but I think Lloyd Carr is going to get the kinks out of this team and they are going to come out and dominant by double digits. Even though its a rivalry game, I'm going to go out on a limb here and say that Michigan wins this game by 20+ points. Whatever you do - good luck.

"the bunker"
two comments....

lbtsdbts....if you are a huge ohio st fan,why do you have a texas icon with your moniker?....

secondly...i am a fan of neither....particularly ohio teams......but,i`ll take tressel at home over mack brown getting a point....

now they`ll have the option of switching up with troy smith....

tressel gets an awful lot out of his clubs....

the last 6 games between ND-Mich, the home team has won. Last time they faced each other at the Big House, Mich won 38-0. But that was with a sr. QB John Navarre and a sr. RB in Chris Perry and a ND team that was a mess.

I am a Michigan fan but rarely bet them, b/c they have trouble covering spreads, due to the fact they always seem to play to their level of competition. Lloyd Carr never lets me down, with his 9-2, 8-3 seasons b/c I expect it. The team is always loaded with talent probably top 5 talent wise every year. But there always seems to be something missing, like they don't go after IT like an Ohio State or Iowa does.

Offense is explosive, WR Breaston is overrated IMO as a receiver, WR Avant is underrated. Henne is cool and calm in the pocket, not afraid to make a mistake and won't harp on it if he does. RB Hart is a tough quick runner with one of the best O-Lines in the country. If he were to go down, they have a more than capable backup in true frosh Kevin Grady. Spitting image of Hart, just 20lbs heavier.

However, Defense is there glaring weakness. The line (supposed to be there strength) gave up over over 200 yds on the ground, not good considering they lost their top cover man in marlin jackson and top safety in earnest shazor to the NFL.

ND does play them tough and are now sipping the Charlie Weis kool aid. Michigan will come to play and will play better than last week. However if Darius Walker gets moving early, Brady Quinn will be able to move the sticks thru the air.

For Mich to cover they will need to bottle up Darius and pressure Quinn into making mistakes.

For ND to Cover, they will need to keep Michigan to their short passing game and avoid the long ball which Henne likes to throw.

I will not touch this game, but will be rooting for MICH., if anything, I think the line could move to -6 maybe -5.5.

Dice34 - nice write up.

I agree that the line may move to 6 by kickoff time. And even though I don't agree that Breaston is overrated (The guy is a player!), I do think tha Mich will come out this week and play better than last week.

I won't bet this game until later in the week but for now will be betting Mich.

Good Luck To All.

Don't get me wrong, I think Breaston is a "player" too. But i said i feel he is overrated as a "Receiver". They try to utilize his speed and elusiveness by getting him the ball 3yds from the LOS. Avant is the better receiver and Breaston is the better athlete. I still love Breaston and wouldn't be surprised if he turned the momentum of the game with a big return on special teams.

In the Rose bowl last year, (don't know the numbers) but he was giving the Mich. off. a short field to work with, bringing the returns to the 40+ yard line.

Mich. kicking game :scared scares the $hit out of me. Always have, haven't had a kicker that you can say, Oh he'll nail this. Its always a coin flip.

GL with your pick. As for me I'm staying away.

I don't trust Lloyd Carr in the 4th quarter in close games. Hopefully, it won't be close.
