Nfl And Fixed Games!!!

now we all know all major sports are fixed from one time to another. days like the nfl today where u have a full slate or even the college ranks there must be a few games a day fixed. right?

well here it is, im up at my cabin today watching buffalo/cincinnati game with the game tied at 3 what do i hear:shrug:

how about don criqui and steve tasker talking about overtime? it wasnt even at the half yet. and not only once did they mention it but how about 3 times in the 2nd qtr.

well low and behold what happened? they go to overtime

WAsh/phily game was big proof..
and for ever said it would take too many ppl to fix games..

IF you tell a player his contract is tied with listening to coaches or refs throw games,, that player will be the first to help fix if the money is right..and i think it is in the player handbook where confindentialty about what happens in order to be a player.

Any one who thinks games (in ANY sport) are fixed obviously is an idiot and shouldn't gamble. They also don't understand how Vegas books work. In over 90% of all the action the games are evenly booked on both sides and Vegas or any other book couldn't give a rat's ass who covers as they just sit back and collect the vig. In those rare instances when they have a lopsided game they win some and lose some but in the end those even out.

O.K. let me re-phrase this. When I said no games are fixed, I meant to say the games are NOT fixed by Vegas or any other book. Yes, there have been occasions of point-shaving and back-door covers by players who have been paid off but these are very rare instances and do not in any way influence the books in Vegas or anywhere else in the long run. Just stop and think of the money involved if Vegas was involved in any fixes and got caught and the consequences.

not sure about the Bungles game mentioned, but I do think that there are games that are fixed. Not all games are fixed, in fact, not many are. The best "information" that any tout could give u would be who is pulling out the Gillette, who is dropping passes, and who is hitting too much of the plate.

jt, this whole thing is getting out of whack! some us may believe that there are games fixed? it has nothing to do with the outcome of the game, just a point i posted about the commentators talking about a overtime game early in the 2nd qtr. just amazed me. i was watching the game w/some friends and we were all talking about the comments they mad about the game going to over time? just was very strange to me and us. i can see them talking about it in the 4th, but why so early? either way some will believe and some wont? thats ur option, i've ben around this along time, and trust i am a believer. to many weird circumstances come into play over the years, just makes 1 wonder? and yes sports addict ur right, i also dont thing vegas has anything to do w/it.
